ZGT4Kazunori Yamauchi spoke to Weekly Famitsu about the next Gran Turismo game. The next GT game will officially be called Gran Turismo HD, and will appear exclusively on the PS3. Unfortunately, however, this is no GT5. The game will be a port of the original ps2">PS2 game 'Gran Turismo 4'. Updated graphics and play control will be the main features of the game, as well as high definition display. Perhaps the new game will somehow incorporate the PS3 controller in some way?

Yamauchi also mentioned that the idea for the game actually came from the Photo Mode in GT4, which allowed players to take high-resolution stills. "I thought it would be incredible to see these stills animated in real time" he said.

However, for those expecting a new GT at PS3 launch, sorry. The best you can get is a port of one you've already got. A new GT game can be expected though, so don't worry too much. For now, you can look at the latest batch of the game's screenshots.

GTAA supposed screenshot from Grand Theft Auto IV has appeared on the internet, causing all kinds of speculation. Unfortunately, Rockstar has confirmed it to be false. The shot is very convincing and well done, but the big guys say it's not real. The screenshot was done with Photoshop, and includes elements from Crazy Taxi and other games. Excellent Photoshop work, no doubt about that. Hopefully we can get some REAL screenshots soon (or at least some more details). Until then, keep checking back for more details. You can check out our old articles here.

CostcoCostco.com has posted their first two Blu-ray discs, and the first I've seen available. For a measly $19.99 (relatively cheap when you consider the price of a standard DVD - which is about 15 bucks - and the production cost of the two) you can snag a copy of 'House of Flying Daggers' or 'A Knight's Tale,' both shipping within 7-14 days.

As more and more Blu-ray videos come out, Sony gets a bigger backing for the PS3 (the self-proclaimed cheapest BD player on the market). When the console does launch, people will notice that it already has a significant library of available movies, which is of course a smart move on Sony's part. Take a look for yourself below.

Here's an incredible clip for the upcoming PS3 game Motorstorm. Details on the game have yet to surface but based on the title and the video, it's safe to say it will be a combat racing game. The graphics look incredible down to the last detail! Tire tracks, gunfire, and an awesome particle engine. This is definitely going to be a hit on PS3, and will hopefully make it to launch.

My favorite part? When the guy falls off his four-wheeler and the player purposely runs over him. Good stuff. But don't take my word for it, see for yourself! Thanks to sentence for the tip!

TekkenKatsuhiro Harada, Tekken producer, mentioned to IT Media that the next Tekken game will use PS3's motion-sensing capabilities. Hints were made as to the use of the controller, but nothing was confirmed. Possibilities include using it to shake yourself free when locked in a stranglehold maneuver but no definite comments were made.

First use of the motion sensor? Looks promising! Hopefully the PS3 will be able to stand up to the accusations being made about robbing the Wii of its main attraction! After all, it's the quality of fun that matters most, right?

IGN has posted some new next gen Sonic the Hedgehog screenshots (we have more info on this game, as well as screenshots here). They have been listed under PS3, but the game is slated for 360. Rumors of a name change to Sonic Adventure 3 have been discussed, but many people don't care about the name, the gameplay is what's important.

These latest screenshots DO however show elements from the Sonic Adventure series (single character gameplay, level design, etc.) and could potentially bring up more discussion on this topic. The Sonic Adventure games have traditionally had a better story than Sonic Teams other outings on home consoles, so that would be a plus, but who's to say? Click the screenshots below for the full resolution image.

Here are the top ten game sales across all consoles (includes Xbox, 360, PS2, PSP, GameCube, DS, GBA) in Australia last week:

Weekly Sales (Australia)
  1. V8 Supercars 3 (PS2) Codemasters
  2. Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion (X360) 2K Games
  3. Call Of Duty 2 (X360) Activision
  4. Ghost Recon 3 Advanced (X360) Ubisoft
  5. Project Gotham Racing 3 (X360) Microsoft
  6. The Godfather (PS2) Electronic Arts
  7. Black (PS2) Electronic Arts
  8. Perfect Dark Zero (X360) Microsoft
  9. Need For Speed: Most Wanted (X360) Electronic Arts
  10. Fight Night Round 3 (X360) Electronic Arts

Unfortunately, V8, The Godfather, and Black took first, sixth, and seventh respectively, but Xbox 360 games hold every other position, nearly sweeping the board! No surprises with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion as the number one 360 title. Thanks to Remorhaz for the heads-up!

Keep an eye out for more 360-related game sales and records.
