A user from the NeoGAF forums by the name of Mrbob has posted a supposed copy of Best Buy's Strategic planning calender from their Planning Seminar for Playstation 3, Wii, Xbox 360 and PSP. The Playstation 3 and Wii section of the slide mentions the dates that the Kiosks will be in stores as well as dates for marketing strategies. So IF this is true the Playstation 3 kiosk should be rolled out on October 20th following with the Wii 's kiosk on October 29th. It also looks like that when the PS3 and Wii hit it will make the 360 get "pushed" back to shelf display although they are adding an HD-DVD drive to the display. The only text that sticks out for the PSP is the start of the "Play Beyond" wireless marketing campaign. Just a reminder that this is in no way official and the only way to find out if it is true is to wait until the dates listed above. So go ahead and check out the image above by clicking the thumbnail and when the dates come in late October check your local Best Buy to see if the kiosks are there. |

Who remembers back in the day when the original Playstation launched with a demo disc giving gamers the chance to try out games without having to rent them first? I know that I remember it all to well and it was one of the first things I thought was pretty awesome from Sony although having a demo disc these days is nothing special. Well there is a rumor going on right now at SPOnG that the Playstation 3 will have a Blu-Ray demo disc coming with the system at launch. he full rumor looks to be that it will come with a Blu-Ray demo disc designed to showcase how films can look given the high-definition treatment at 1080p to win over non Blu-Ray enthusiasts. So remember this is just a rumor right now, hopefully Sony will continue to follow in their own footsteps and have some kind of demo shipping with the system but no official statements have been made. |

Ubisoft let out some juicy information about Assassin's Creed today as they have released a short synopsis for the plot summary of the game. The story follows a disgraced master Assassin who goes by the name of Altair and embarks on
an epic quest to restore his status within the Assassin Order because his last mission to assassinate the Templar Leader ended in failure. Sinan, Leader of the Assassins, gives Altair a chance at redemption by sending him to venture out into the Holy Land and assassinate men said to be exacerbating and exploiting the hostilities created by the Third Crusade allowing Sinan to start an age of peace. The game starts off as Richard the Lionheart, of the Crusaders, has just recaptured the port city of Acre from occupying Saracens and plan to try to recapture Jerusalem from the Saracen Army who currently rules Jerusalem. While Richard and Saladin battle one another, the men left to govern in their stead have begun taking advantage of their new found positions of power. This is where Altair comes in as he is to assassinate those men most active in their exploitation of their power. The rest of the story is a mystery right now, but go ahead and check out the new screenshots and when more news becomes available we'll be sure to keep you informed. Pre-order: [Assassin's Creed] |

Today Sega released a whole new batch of screens for the upcoming next-gen release of Sonic The Hedgehog for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. If you check out the screenshots it looks like they included new details inside without announcing anything such as the return of Shadow in hi-def glory. There is also one screen in particular where Shadow is being carried by a Bald Eagle which is very reminiscent to Mario 64's owl. Also the screens showcase that the "Sonic Grind" that came from the Sonic Adventure games is in full force with the Blue Blur speeding through a random forest. The game is scheduled to be released on November 17th for both system so until then, go ahead and check out the new screenshots by clicking on the thumbnails below.
