PJ LaddTony Hawk pretty much has a stronghold on the skating videogame market. The release of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater back in 1999 spawned many sequels (eight, if we're not mistaken) that have received good marks both from gamers and critics. With his licensing deal with Activision extending until 2015, there'll be more Tony Hawk games coming our way.

Well, EA wants a piece of that lucrative skateboard videogame market. Enter PJ Ladd. The name may not be as recognizable as Tony Hawk, but if you see PJ in action, we're quite sure there'll be a lot of jaw-dropping moments on your part.

EA is bringing the skateboarding wizardry of PJ Ladd into your Xbox 360 and PS3 through Skate. And to get the show started, EA has released a short clip of PJ Ladd. Though we won't see the hardflips and the mind-blowing moves in this trailer, the subtle intro about PJ Ladd is just the perfect teaser.

After Pseudo Interactive hit the brakes and pushed back the release of Full Auto 2: Battlelines to December 12, info about the game only came in trickles. That's not to say the buzz has totally died down. In fact, videogame racing junkies are still very much interested in the possible PSP-PS3 game link-up. Pseudo has been mum about this, so most of what we've heard and read about are mere speculations. But that's to be expected, after all, a delay could mean some last minute fixes to make our gaming experience much more enjoyable.

We don't want to keep our hopes way up, but we're still hoping just the same. In the meantime, watch the "Merciless Mayhem" video which shows a souped-up car furiously chasing enemies and nailing them down with help from unforgiving powerups.

Harry PotterWhy aren't we surprised at all? We did see this coming. And it's all good. While the past videogame incarnations of Harry Potter were forgettable, we're eager to see what the next-gen versions have to offer. We can already picture players swishing and flicking the Wiimote while uttering "Alohamora!"

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix videogame will be the first in the franchise to be developed for the next-gen consoles. EA and Warner Bros. promise an accurate representation of the events surrounding J.K. Rowlings' fifth book, which happens to be Harry Potter's fifth year at Hogwarts.

The game will allow players to explore Hogwarts and take on missions presented in the book/movie.

Playable characters include Harry Potter (of course!), Dumbledore, and Sirius Black. Too bad, Ron and Hermione are non-playable. But we're pretty sure they'll get some exposure throughout the game.

The game is slated for a July 2007 release to coincide with the film. It'll also be released for the PSP, PS2, Gameboy Advance, and Windows PC.

It's raining hot lead in this latest gameplay trailer for Rainbow Six: Vegas. Saving the hostages from execution in this kind of "weather" condition makes it even more difficult for the Rainbow Six team to complete the mission. When enemies fire at will upon seeing you and your team move inside the Calypso, you know you gotta "Duck and Cover". This tactic proves to be an effective option (and perhaps the only one) when the enemies get into a lead-pumping spree.

Of course, it would help if you have a 20/20 vision so you can spot enemies from a distance while stealthily moving to the nearest temporary shelter. The main goal is to save the hostages, but with bullets coming from all directions, your immediate goal is to stay alive.

OblivionWe hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Bethesda Softworks has confirmed that the release of the PS3 version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is pushed back to Q1 2007. This comes just a few days after online retailers started listing the title as "coming in 2007".

Bethesda didn't offer a reason for the delay - a move that's gotten speculative minds to go into full gear. There have been suspicions that the delay is linked to PS3 development difficulties. Further ramblings point to the low supply of PS3 as the main culprit, saying that publishers are deterred from rushing games to the market with scant supply of P3 units coming at launch day.

While some would be disappointed with this development (or lack of it), others would simply call it a case of deja vu. If you would recall, Oblivion also missed the Xbox 360 launch. So, it's really not surprising.

This brings the total number of PS3 launch titles to 20 - one title short of the list revealed at the 2006 Sony Gamers Day. With F.E.A.R and Sonic the Hedgehog rumored to go the way of Oblivion, we sure hope that this delay doesn't become a trend.

We've seen the Federation's assault on Zion's jungle base. The bitter rivals are both relentless, but when mechs start dropping one by one, it doesn't take a genius to figure out who emerged victorious in the battle.

Namco Bandai has released yet another Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire gameplay video that shows the grim result of gun and sword combat. Early in the video, the enemy threat seems to be something which can easily be thwarted. But boy oh boy, there's just no telling when these Federation mechs start a full assault. What this tells us is that strategy and a little bit of stealth could go a long way. Deviate from a plan and you'd find your energy reading drop to that dreaded critical point, rendering you incapable of defending your base.

We're pretty sure, you don't want to hear "Commander destroyed, mission failed" just five minutes into the game, don't you?

Dark Sector

A few days ago, Dark Sector's game director Steve Sinclair finally shed light on the storyline of the mysterious game heading to the Xbox 360 and PS3. It didn't take long for the folks over at Digital Extremes to churn out screenshots to go along with the revelations.

In the game, all eyes are on Haden Tenno, a hired assassin tasked to look into the experiments that have gone horribly wrong, causing humans and animals to morph into monsters.

Sinclair and the development team admitted that Dark Sector has undergone considerable changes to add more realism to the game's setting. And one way to confirm this is by simply looking at the new images below. Without a doubt, the graphical representation of the environment and characters has gotten less of the sci-fi feel and more of the realism that fans of next-gen games are clamoring for.

When Namco Bandai released the official packshot for Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire, you know full well that those threatening giant robots' debut on the PS3 is just a few winks away.

And just when you thought there's nothing left to reveal about the game, Famitsu unearthed the strategic element of the game through its "attack order command". They are in quotes as we only relied on what the online Japanese translation site presented. From what we've gathered, the said "command" allows you to set a unit and give out directions to a team member (i.e. a friend) to carry out a plan or a strategy.

Assessing the war situation can help you reach a decision, consequently leading your team to victory.

Of course, that's the only part we understood from the crazy translation. We might have missed some important info or might have mixed them up, but we're pretty sure the article is saying that Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire requires more than brute force; strategic planning must also come into play.

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance

We just can't get enough of a good thing. Ever since the announcement of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance for the PS3 and Xbox 360, Activision has been releasing some teaser videos featuring Marvel characters and their signature moves and super abilities. We've seen Nightcrawler, Iceman, Torch, Iron Man, and Dr. Doom in action, and we're pretty sure there will be more to come until the game is released in November.

True enough, Activision has released six action-packed trailers this time featuring Marvel fan favorites Wolverine, Storm, Elektra, Ghost Rider and Luke Cage.

The first trailer shows Storm unleashing her power and killing enemies that stand in her way. While storm takes control of wind and lightning, Elektra shows off her fancy moves while wielding two bladed sais. The "gentlemen" of Marvel also had their chance to show off their abilities: Luke Cage and his brute strength; Ghost Rider and his chain-wielding ways; and Wolverine slicin' and dicin' anyone who comes near his path.

With over 140 characters, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance sets the stage for an explosive showdown. Make sure you become part of it when it launches on November 17.

Fight Night Round 3

If you've been totally amazed by the visual realism depicted in the recently released Fight Night Round 3 screenshots for the PS3, perhaps this new trailer will blow you away. The only problem is it's too damn short! But that's what a teaser should be, right?

With a catchy tune in the background, the trailer has just enough action that will leave you asking for more. It's almost like watching a real fight on pay-per-view. It starts with boxers warming up for a fight, but without a warning, a quick blow on the face sets the stage for an even more intense exchange of head punches. One massive uppercut ultimately sends the bloodied contender to the floor.

This is just a good warm up until you finally get in the ring and outpunch opponents when the game hits the shelves on December 12.
