It would be frustrating to spend so much time and talent, investing so much work on one level to make a masterpiece, only to find it obsoleted if a LittleBigPlanet 2 comes out. Anyone out there who made such a level? Alex Evans of Media Molecule won't let your levels gather dust in obscurity if a LittleBigPlanet sequel comes out - he and his team could make LittleBigPlanet backwards compatible.

Media Molecule co-founder Alex Evans has revealed a few of their plans for LittleBigPlanet, including a new web-based level-sharing portal and a beta test for upcoming features. And what's this? The PSP version of LBP is just "the first game"? More after the jump.

Heads up, Ratchet and Clank fans! Your favorite Lombax and his robot sidekick are en route to an appearance in Media Molecule's LittleBigPlanet. Sony has confirmed the Ratchet and Clank content in the wake of a tweet from Insomniac Games that mentioned the new LBP content.

LittleBigPlanet is no longer little by any accounts, not with so many gamers constantly churning out new creations everyday. Media Molecule isn't finished with the title just yet though. At a panel interview during GDC, they remark that the game feels only "halfway through" and that they still have lots of things planned for it.

Not to be confused with the upcoming LBP PSP scheduled for late 2009, an all-new LittleBigPlanet game is apparently already being mulled over by Media Molecule! What could it be? Sackboy: Can I Really Be the Hero? Or Sackboy RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars? What about SackBoy Hero: World Tour? Here's a clue though: MM's Alex Evans promises that it's going to be "really f***ing cool!"
