LittleBigPlanet - Image 1Towards the end of April, LittleBigPlanet got a huge price cut at online retailer DVD.co.uk., leaving the triple-A title with a mere £ 10.89 (US$ 16) price tag. At 14 bucks, LBP is already a freakin' steal. This time, Amazon UK brings the price down to an even lower, making Media Molecule's little project an even more "attractive purchase," as Sony would put it. How much? Hit the link to find out.

Lair and Folklore in Amazon.co.uk - Image 1 Lair and Folklore in Amazon.co.uk - Image 2

Only recently Amazon UK was offering the PlayStation 3 games Lair and Folklore for only GBP 14.99 (about US$ 30) each. The appealing prices quickly shot the games to the best selling list in Amazon. Sadly though, Amazon reported that there was a mistake in recording the prices and had to cancel the pre-orders.

According to the email sent by Amazon UK to those who've pre-ordered Lair and Folklore, it's standard procedure to cancel the orders if the reported price was lower than the actual price. Right now the games are available for GBP 34.99 (around US$ 70) each. Lair will be available on October 19 in the Europe, and Folklore on October 12.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion with free HDMI cables at Amazon UK - Image 1Some gamers believe that HDMI is the only way to play. Of course, this is only applicable if you have the an HDMI-capable TV. Now, if you do happen to own one but haven't gotten an HDMI cable to hook up your PlayStation 3, you're in luck. Amazon UK has recently announced that they will be offering The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion with a free HDMI cable.

This promo includes a copy of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and a free HDMI cable for £39.98 (about US$ 80.00). For those who decide to use Amazon's Super Saver Delivery option, the product will be delivered free to anywhere in the UK.

This item will be out this April 27, 2007. You can already pre-order this product, so if you're interested, you can check the link below. For those who are still deciding whether or not to pick up the game, check out our previous articles about it.

20GB PS3 at Amazon UK - Image 1

The 20 GB version of the Playstation 3 will finally be arriving in the UK by October 30... according to Amazon UK anyway. Originally, the 60 GB version was the only unit that was released in the UK launch despite the public clamor for it. Sony managing director Ray Maguire even clarified in a statement last February, that the 20GB model will not be released due to the lack of demand for the 20GB model. However, Sony is now saying that they will now be sending the lower-end model of the PS3 to Europe, after they have consulted with retailers and were notified that there is a demand for it.

The PlayStation 3 20 GB version that will be released in the UK does not support Wireless 802.11 b/g and will not have any MemoryStick, SD, Compact Flash slots, this is of course in addition to the 40 GB storage loss. It's pretty much the same standard PS3 20 GB units that you can pick up in the US.

So, if you want a PS3, but you're a few pounds short (and you're fine without the features that were taken out) then here's your chance. However, you'll have to wait a few months until it comes out.

Amazon PS3 - Image 1

Most UK retailers have already started their pre-orders. Pop into any GAME, PC World, Currys, Dixons - they all have PS3 pre-orders on the go. Even online retailer Play.com have starting taking Pre-orders, promising to deliver PS3's on release day for those who get their orders in early. But the UK's favourite online retailer was a little slow in opening up PS3 pre-orders.

Amazon UK were supposed to start accepting pre-orders on February 15th at 9am (a time still later than other sites), but in fact nobody was allowed to place pre-orders until 1:35 that afternoon. Gamesdog reports that this morning at 10:30am GMT there were still PS3's available, but after checking Amazon UK as of now (21:45 GMT), there are no PS3's available.

However, Amazon have stated that they will be doing the same as Play.com and only allowing the amount of PS3's they will have for release day to be pre-ordered. The message from amazon right now is "We expect to have more PlayStation 3 consoles available for pre-order during Monday 19 February. Check back here for further updates." Maybe they're negotiating more units from Sony? Whatever the reason, we'll be back with another update from the Amazon camp on Monday.

be the first! wo0t!wo0t! - Image 1Get ready to head on to Amazon, UK fanboys! That's because pre-orders for the much-awaited (and it truly was a looong wait for the guys in Europe) PlayStation 3 begins on February 15th at 9am.

As Amazon subscribers probably know by now, thanks to the email from the online shopping site, pre-orders will be taken from 9am to 5pm. And if you kept a close watch on the online action for the North American launch, you'd be smart to know that there is a high probability that the PS3s will be sold out even before the day ends.

As for the mailing details, Amazon will supposedly try to attempt to deliver ALL pre-orders on the day of the launch itself, provided that the customer goes  for the First Class postage option.

So, it's a stake-out before your PCs yet again. We suggest you bring with you a lot of patience as you click that Refresh button right there. The PS3 will be retailing in UK for £ 425 (roughly US$ 830).
