3D moviesFinally, your own IMAX at home! Stereoscopic 3D tech is now confirmed to head for the PS3 and Mac platforms, care of Next3D. They're going to release their 3D movie player software for free, right about the same time they launch their 3D movie service. Some of you have seen it in action as a preview back in CES and GDC, but now it's set in stone. Just as long as your TV is 3D-ready and you got those Shutter glasses, you guys will be able to watch 1080p HD 3D movies on your PS3s and Macs, and eventually, the Xbox 360 too.

PR - The Beatles: Rock Band Worldwide Release Set for 9/9/09 - Image 1We finally have a solid release date for the Rock Band game starring the band that rocked the the world, The Beatles. The game is slated for a release on September 9, released simultaneously worldwide for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the Wii.

Panasonic open 3D Blu-ray labs - Image 1Sony got the crowd ooohing and aaahing at their stereoscopic 3D display back at CES last month. They also got a lot of booing when it was leaked that they won't release the technology to the public, mainly because you'll need the proper hardware to make it run.

And it's Panasonic to the rescue. The company is opening its own 3D Blu-ray labs, which aims to make a 3D Full HD available to the general public. Details after the link.

MTV Games Clarifies - Image 1 Its not over five thouzaaaaaand!

News broke earlier about how Harmonix wanted to release more than 5,000 songs as DLC for Rock Band by the end of the year. Epic? Yes. Possible? Nuh-uh. Harmonix was contacted to set things straight and guess what? It was a misunderstanding.

Report: Sony not releasing 3D tech from CES - Image 1While official Sony reps are keeping mum about the stereoscopic 3D tech they revealed at CES, a "well-placed source" spilled the beans to Ars Technica, explaining why Sony won't be releasing the tech they showed to the public. Ever.

Ah, but they do have other big plans for 3D though.

Sony Won CES Street Fighter 4 Brawl - Image 1The dust has settled from the epic Street Fighter IV tourney between Capcom, Sony, and Microsoft. Who came out the winner? Capcom of course, hands down. It's their game :p. But the more interesting question is, who won between Sony and Microsoft?

In fact, it actually can be the key to motivate people to trying out real music, saying that it gives people "a taste of what lies on the other side."
