If only we could read Japanese then the language barrier would not have delayed the info and we could've gotten them sooner. Caught the Famitsu scans for Final Fantasy XIII (Xbox 360, PS3) we posted yesterday? Now we know what those Japanese text walls have been trying to tell us.

Since Square Enix's official acquisition of Eidos back in May, there've been lots of hoping and speculating surrounding the possibility of the two publishers crossing-over IPs. Here's your answer - in an interview with Gamasutra, the CEOs of both companies reveal: "It's possible."

Announced and in the works, Final Fantasy XIV just got this great-looking trailer featuring scenes from the next big thing for Square Enix. It doesn't really say anything new, and any info we have so far, we've already given. As it is, Final Fantasy XIV is confirmed only for the PlayStation 3 and PC, while the Xbox 360 is still being considered as a platform. Video after the jump.

The Japanese PSN welcomes Chocobo Racing, adding yet another fun title into its already impressive archive. Square Enix's sprinting bird once again speeds into action along with some of the well-loved characters of the Chocobo's Dungeon titles. More in the full article.

Heads up, Square Enix fans! The Final Fantasy XIII countdown has struck zero hour and a new trailer is up for the game featuring new cut scenes, and the long-awaited battle scene! (Called it, hah.)

A few days ago, Shonen Jump had a feature on Final Fantasy XIII, revealing new details, a cute chocobo chick, and a new character by the name of Sazh Kalzroy. Unfortunately, it was in Japanese. Now... wanna see it in English?

Oooh, this one's a doozy. Better be comfortable over there. The Cloud Message book from Square Enix contains a heck of a lot of nice tidbits for the Square Enix fan. Looking at the cover, it's got some features on the whole lot: Fabula Nova Crystallis, the portable Kingdom Hearts games, Dissidia, and Parasite Eve 3, among others. So far, the scans we've managed to find are of the Fabula Nova Crystallis games. Oh, it's a wild ride, you bet'cha. Lots of new details for all three games!

Japan's Media Create group has recently posted their tallies for the region's software sales ending December 16. Aside from the usual collection of Nintendo Wii and DS games, one new arrival of note is Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. More details are up ahead in the full article

Well, it's confirmed. If any of you guys have a convenient ticket going to Japan, now would be a good time to book it so you can catch the Jump Festa 2008 event. That's where Square Enix will be previewing the closed door trailer of its upcoming Final Fantasy Fabula Nova Crystallis games, as well as its other highly anticipated titles for next year.
