Remember back when Surfer Girl predicted that Far Cry 2 (PlayStation 3, Windows, Xbox 360) would become the best shooter of 2008? Well, judging from what's streaming - nay, outright overflowing! - from Ubisoft's Ubidays event, there will probably be no first person shooter videogame title like it. EVER. Wondering when something that can top the graphics on games like Crysis  will come along? The co-founder of Maxis has some answers. He says he and the team over at OddWorld Inhabitants (OWI) are working on a new game with CG movie-like visuals. Full story comes after the jump.

Crytek's CryENGINE 2 is definitely making it big in the gaming industry. Previously, Harald Seeley spoke about the engine's MMO expansion. Now, Seeley has said that CryENGINE 2 for the PS3 and 360 could resemble the high setting visuals of PCs. Find out more on this in the full article.

Bored with the same old avatars in Unreal Tournament 3? Well, to resolve this issue you can modify and customize the characters in the game, just like what Organ did. Crytek "wow-ed" everyone last year with the powerful visuals from its featured title Crysis, running on the heavy spec game engine CryENGINE 2. This year, the game developers have announced that an exclusive demo for the PS3 and Xbox 360 version of CryENGINE 2 will be showcased this February 20 to 22 at the Game Developers Conference 2008 in San Francisco.

Despite an 18% loss in revenue last quarter as compared to last year's, Electronic Arts is confident the launch of a number of holiday titles and an upcoming restructuring would put them back in the game. The changes will focus on efficiency and cost-cutting. Wedbush Morgan's Michael Pachter remains positive about the future of the studio, saying: "They appear to have costs under control and revenue growth is solid."
