Battlefield Heroes - Image 1Rumor-shot down time! Unfortunately, Battlefield Heroes will NOT be coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360, contrary to the reports that we've seen recently. No less than DICE executive producer Ben Cousins put this rumor to rest.

EA CEO: recession is a blessing - Image 1The employees who recently got axed from Electronic Arts probably won't agree with this one. Speaking at the DICE Summit, EA CEO John Riccitiello remarked that the recession is a "blessing" for the video game industry. "The riffraff" will be forced out of business, and that means less poor quality games.

I'll have to say I agree with him. And disturbed that I do.

DragonballGames and movies, will they ever be seen under the same light? For the new Dragonball: Evolution game for the PSP, at least, maybe not. Then again, that's a different matter altogether... Enter EA CEO John Riccitiello talking about video games as an art form - he thinks that within five years, the game industry may prove every one wrong, that games do have the potential to be considered just as impressive as movies and books.

Not for these freerunners, though. So what did they have to say about the freerunning Mirror's Edge (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC)? It's a runaway winner for them. Mirror's Edge - Image 1Mirror's Edge (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) just gets cooler by the minute. Not only does it have a cool gameplay, it's also got a cool soundtrack. DICE has announced that they will be releasing a Remix album in conjunction with the game's release, and it'll feature the world's best DJs.

Mirror's Edge - Image 1DICE's Mirror's Edge is unquestionably a very "physical" game. Lots of jumping around and scaling from one building to the next -- definitely not your typical daily exercise routine. But it seems like the team sees this physicality going beyond Mirror's Edge, say like even in future Battlefield games.
