No More Heroes is making the jump to the PS3 and Xbox 360. We already saw some shots of the new versions in the Famitsu scan we posted a couple of days ago but those were tiny. If you thought that the Alternative Edition DLC for Resident Evil 5 was simply going to be a single scenario and motion control support, think again. Famitsu got the goods once again with a two-page spread on the upcoming add-on, revealing more content than previously revealed.

Yes folks, it's confirmed. Suda51's free roaming action video game No More Heroes is getting a high definition treatment, a new scan from this week's issue of Famitsu has confirmed.

Famitsu.com has broken the news on a new entry in Taito's Estpolis series. If the name doesn't ring a bell, the series was released outside Japan as "Lufia". The new game will be called Estpolis: The Land Cursed by the Gods and will be produced by the original game's development staff. Square Enix will be handling publishing duties.

When the Japanese gaming mag, Famitsu broke the news on a Final Fantasy XIV (PS3, PC) code coming with the purchase of Final Fantasy XIII (Xbox 360, PS3), many folks went, "Ah, beta access!" over the supposedly good news. As it turns out, it's not a beta code. Famitsu now explains that it is in fact a campaign code, and it doesn't give you access to the FFXIV beta.

Including the bonus stages revealed in Famitsu recently, Super Street Fighter IV (PS3, Xbox 360) has a grand total of four new modes. Details and a video after the jump.

While it was not quite as fulfilling as giving another player a brutal beat down, the car-destroying minigame in Street Fighter II served as a sort of calming distraction from the constant fist, foot, and fireball on flesh action. We haven't seen it in any of the recent iterations of the series, but as shown in the latest issue of Famitsu, it may be making a return in Super Street Fighter IV (PS3, Xbox 360) along with the barrel smashing bonus stage.

It's numbers time yet again! Famitsu's come out with their hardware sales charts, albeit a bit late this week. Still on top: DSi. And what's this we see inching closer to the top, a mere 4,000 units shy? It's the PSP with 40,000, just a tad bit below the DSi who has 44,000. The Xbox 360, meanwhile, edges out over PS2 with just 2,000 more units sold.

Oh, and here's a no-brainer: rumblings about new entries in two of the PS3's biggest franchises have started to trickle out from the rumor mill. All in all, another good week for the PS3. Well, except maybe for that one particular console they threw into the Bravia. It didn't seem to get too banged up though.
