Here's another development in Crytek's purchase of Free Radical Design. After Rob Yescombe and ReSolve Partners confirmed the sale, it's now Crytek's turn.

Apart from confirming their purchase of the Haze and TimeSplitters developer, Crytek also revealed that Free Radical will be renamed Crytek UK.

As it turns out, neither Codemasters, Monumental, or those interested companies outside the video game industry were able to buy Free Radical Design. Instead, Germany-based Crytek was the one who ponied up the cash to get their hands on the Haze and TimeSplitters developer.

Guess who Free Radical Design wrangled in to do the soundtrack for their upcoming shooter Haze? Hold on to your seats, because, as previously announced, Korn will be in the house to supply gnarly tunes that will rip across the free-flowing futuristic world of the game. Here's a user-submitted gameplay video for upcoming PlayStation 3 exclusive Haze. It is being developed by Free Radical Design and will be released later this month in major market regions.

It was reported a couple of weeks ago that a demo for the title should be available on November 16. The footage itself was uploaded by user gunnar2906 at the recent Moscow Igromir (Gamesworld) Show.

Despite the rather shaky clip, the gameplay video should give players an overview of Haze and how it plays out. In this game, players take on the role of Sergeant Carpenter and his quest against the rebels in South America.
