Brutal Legend - Image 1Michael Pachter of Wedbush Morgan is betting on Electronic Arts' Jack Black starrer, Brutal Legend (PS3, Xbox 360) to be this holiday's sleeper hit. He was quick to qualify, however, that it's not gonna be that much of a smash hit, but a hit, nonetheless.

Jack Black as Eddie Riggs - Image 1The post-VMA buzz may still be talking about Kanye and Taylor Swift, but let's stick our own buzz to gaming, yes? On the lighter side of things, the red carpet once again saw the stars in their designer threads and bling, wearing Calvin, donning Dolce, and whoever. But for Jack Black, he walks the limelight of the red carpet wearing a different kind of name - Eddie Riggs of Brutal Legend (PS3, Xbox 360).

Brutal Legend - Image 1Brütal Legend (PS3, Xbox 360) is definitely going brutal with its soundtrack! EA Denmark has unveiled the full soundtrack list for the Jack Black video game starrer, and it's totally rocking! The list itself boasts of over 100 tracks, including from the bands Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Motorhead and Megadeath. There's no release date yet for the said soundtrack, but no question about it, it's gonna be way awesome. I expect headbangers to have their good ol' fill with this one.

Taken from TotallyLooksLike.com - Image 1I don't really think it's that much of a good idea to hand Jack Black a battle axe for play inside a studio. EA seemed to think it was alright though as they allowed Black to do exactly that for the latest episode of his bi-weekly video series, Brütal Thoughts. Check out the bad-ass video after the jump.

Brutal Legend - Image 1 Electronic Arts has announced the North American and European release dates for Double Fine Productions' hard-rocking, face-melting, umlaut-laden Brütal Legend (PS3, Xbox 360). I bet Tim Schafer is one happy dude right now.

Brutal Legend - the Tim Schafer game starring Jack Black as a Rock and Roll folklore hero - has been in publishing limbo for a while, but now Electronic Arts has announced that they are picking up the rights to the game. Awesome.

Brutal Legend - Image 1And here I was thinking that Electronic Arts finally loosened up. John Riccitiello, EA's CEO, recently remarked in an interview that Tim Schafer's Brutal Legend (the one with Jack Black) is a "significant creative risk." Awww. Hope a publisher picks up the game soon.
