Capcom - Image 1You're probably aware of the amount of criticism that Capcom took when its first trailer for Resident Evil 5 (PS3, Xbox 360) came out. Racism was the main accusation, but the devs shrugged it off. In the latest trailer, we saw Capcom mix up the ethnicities in the hordes of Chris Redfield foes. What does this mean? Was Capcom pressured by the media? See their response in the full article up ahead.

9 new Resident Evil 5 scans - Image 1

If you've been waiting for tidbits on Capcom's Resident Evil 5, then you've come to the right place. Creepy can not really describe the images that can be found on the scans as they show Chris Redfield holding "aggressive negotiations" with enemies.

The story of the game takes place 10 years after the first Resident Evil, with former S.T.A.R.S. member Chris Redfield working for an organization called BSAA. RE 5 Producer Jun Takeuchi has let slip that the fifth episode of the series should explain some cryptic sections from Resident Evil 4.

The gameplay of Resident Evil 5 is inspired by Resident Evil 4, though some refinements have been added. It has also been said that both dark and light plays an important part of the game. An example of this would be Chris' eyes adopting to the darkness while visiting a dark place.

Like any normal human being, a sudden bright flash of light (like from the sun) will temporarily blind your character. Anyway, Resident Evil 5 is slated to be released next year on both the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.

Keep checking back here for more updates on the game, while waiting, check out some of these scans from Famitsu.

Resident Evil 5 - Image 1

Resident Evil 5
(Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) from Capcom is wrapped in mystery right now, just like how everything was when players first got their hands on the original Resident Evil game. We only know as much as Chris Redfield returning with a female character to accompany him and gameplay resembling that of Resident Evil 4's, but that's about it.

But series fans, don't fret. Even if the release window given to us was a wild "sometime before 2010," we still get to know more about it as early as now. Over the Capcom official forums, all the buzz is about a thread where you can post questions for game producer Jun Takeuchi himself to answer.

It all started a few days ago, when Capcom Entertainment senior manager Seth Killian posted up a thread to accept questions which will be translated and sent over to Takeuchi-san in order to get them answered. Deadline is set on July 25 - before that, you can head over their forums to ask about anything Resident Evil 5-related.

Will the female character be Claire Redfield? What's bothering those eye-bleeding guys shown at E3? How "revolutionary" exactly will RE 5 be as Takeuchi promised? Those are only some of the plethora questions that we want answered. Here's to hoping we get a good chunk of info when July 30 comes, the target date Takeuchi himself set for his answers to be published on the same thread.

Got a question itchin' for an answer? You can find the forum thread where you can ask your own questions at the Read link below.

Resident Evil 5 - Image 1

Jun Takeuchi recently sat down with the lucky folks over at Famitsu to share new details about the next title in the critically-acclaimed zombie shooter series Resident Evil, Resident Evil 5 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. We get you all the juicy tidbits of this interview, as well as a few extra morsels you may find interesting about this next-gen title.

For the most part, Jun Takeuchi was a bit vague with the details regarding the storyline - but what he did confirm was that Chris Redfield, the main character in the game, is a member of BSAA, the agency that sent him to investigate some pretty weird happenings that have been cropping up in the desert area that serves as the game's setting.

Takeuchi also confirmed that the enemies Chris will be facing will be neither zombie or ganado, but a completely different one - one that not only has human form, but the intelligence to boot. This makes us wonder just what exactly we're going to be up against come the game's release - and we certainly can't wait to see just what it is!
