Lost Planet - Image 1Apart from Capcom's official announcement at last year's E3, and the subsequent revelation that David Hayter will be hopping on board, not much has been known or heard about the movie adaptation of Lost Planet (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC). Thanks to Jun Takeuchi, we're learning more about the project, and what do you know, it won't be following the game's storylines after all.

Swiimote? - Image 1Don't look now, but it just might be possible for us to see Wii games ported to the PS3 - if Japanese developers are to have their way, and thanks to Sony's motion controller. Capcom producer Jun Takeuchi (of Resident Evil 5 fame) divulged this information in an interview with 1Up, leading up to the TGS.

Resident EvilLooks like we should enjoy the latest RE game (or previous others too) for all that it's worth - it's going to be a looong wait for the next one. Considering that Capcom producer Jun Takeuchi previously said that the next installment in the Resident Evil franchise would be a reboot, the next installment may be a ways off. RE5 producer Masachika Kawata honestly stated that the next installment for RE may be quite a ways off, any time within four to eight years!

Resident Evil 5 is 'new direction' for series, says Capcom - Image 1How many Resident Evil games have there been now? Around eight in the main series and countless others in spin-offs, yeah? Better prepare yourself. Capcom says that all of that was only just "act one" of the Resident Evil saga.

Details after the link.

Resident Evil Gets a Complete Reboot With RE6 - Image 1Resident Evil 5 may mark the end of an era. Producer Jun Takeuchi says that the game is "the last of its kind" and that "a reboot is in order" for Resident Evil 6. Completely new gameplay, or completely new story? Will we at least finally be able to shoot while mobile?

Resident Evil 5 - Image 1Resident Evil 5 senior producer Jun Takeuchi has revealed that they're taking the matter of mandatory game installs seriously with RE5. Will Chris Redfield follow the footsteps of Dante and Nero or not? There's still no final word, however, it seems that Capcom was traumatized by how DMC4's mandatory install (a mere 20 minutes!) was received by the gamers. Meanwhile, Takeuchi has hinted that a demo for the game may be going live soon for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

love me. - Image 1I like the sound of typewriters: crisp, smart, and in Resident Evil games' case, healthy. The typewriter save system has remained such an integral element of playing RE games, that it's pretty hard to imagine what an RE game would be like without it. Apparently, Capcom imagined hard enough that the whole typewriter system has been overwritten in Resident Evil 5 (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360).
