Air strikes are fun to call down onto your enemies. Besides the fact that they pretty much guarantee victory through widespread, indiscriminate destruction, there's a certain pleasure to be taken in the knowledge that you can command such awesome weaponry. Frontlines: Fuel of War, THQ and Kaos Studios' upcoming FPS for the Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, and PC does just that, and we see it in this gameplay video update.Check out the video in the full article. |

From defense, ground/air support, and counter measures...there are so many tactics that soldiers can adapt in Frontlines: Fuel of War. However, there's also one type of function that's decidedly more fun to do in the battlefield: drone tech. Check out why in the video found in the full article! |

Unfortunately, we'll have to be the bearer of yet another bit of bad news: Kaos Studios' FPS for the PlayStation 3, Frontlines: Fuel of War, won't be deployed until next year in Europe. According to French site Live Play 3, the publishers decided to push back the release date to January of 2008, instead of plunging head on into the fierce holiday competition. That doesn't sound so brave of them, eh? But we're guessing that Kaos Studios opted for a later launch out of practicality, and not out of fear of being pitted against bigger titles. And as for every delayed release date, we just hope that the added time will be used wisely by the company to guarantee that our prolonged wait for Frontlines: Fuel of War will definitely be worth it. We'll keep you posted on this bit. |

Because we think that the pics are cool, and we love the game, we're bringing you newer screenshots of Frontlines: Fuel of War. This game, shipping fall of this year, focuses on a conflict between the Western Coalition and the Red Star Alliance. Already, the gameplay looks nice, promising a lot of abandoned girlfriends after its release. Graphics this great can only bring a great gaming experience.
Frontlines: Fuel of War is developed by Kaos Studios and will be available for the PC, PS3 and the Xbox 360 gaming systems. See all of the screenshots after the jump! |

Not too far in the future, global natural resources will be on the
brink of depletion. As the world's economies and our way of life tumble into
chaos, the superpowers clash to gain control...
Great set-up, eh? That's pretty much the backdrop which Frontlines: Fuel of War (PS3, PC, and Xbox 360) is set against. Set in a fictional future "based upon the headlines of today," Frontlines: Fuel of War drops players right in the middle of the war between two superpowers. Players can either join the Western Coalition or the Red Star Alliance (yeah, the game's not too subtle with the names). What it all comes down to, though, is that joining either side will eventually boil down to killing everybody on the other side. Good thing you'll be gunning at your enemies with the firepower of over 60 next gen vehicles and weapons inspired by military designs for the near future in your steady hands. For a look at how Kaos Studios' Frontlines: Fuel of War is coming along (it's coming along nicely, in our opinion), check out the new screenshots below. More screenshots after the jump! |

At the recently held THQ Gamers Day Event, the GT staffers were able to catch up with the folks of Kaos Studios to talk up Frontlines: Fuel of War (PC, PS3, Xbox360), the upcoming multi-platform FPS that's currently cooking in their quarters. The Game Mechanics interview discusses how Frontlines is actually quite the genre mixer because it has RPG levelling-up elements like the more you use certain things, the more you rank up different abilities. It also has strategy elements as players will be able to take on various roles including the following: defensive, ground/air support, drone tech, counter measures, etc. The dev walkthrough vid lets us listen in as Dave Voypka, Design Director of the game, talks about the new weapons featured in the game, how the frontline combat system works in both the single and multiplayer modes, and even the frontline system in the UI. But don't take our word for it, just hit play and get the goods from the devs themselves. Enjoy! Watch the dev walkthrough vid after the jump! |
