The Leipzig Games Convention organizers have decided, and they find Sony's Resistance: Retribution for the PSP as the best presented game in this year's event. Who else took bacons home? Check out the list after the jump.

"Ready for GAME time!" Tokyo Game Show 2008's theme is definitely one that can get your heart pumping. I know something else that might get your heart pumping: the full list of exhibitors to be present in this year's gaming event at Tokyo. Knowing the exhibitors at TGS 2008 might give a hint as to what games we can probably expect on the show floor (and knowing what games can, in turn, give us a hint as to what types of boothbabe cosplays we might expect to see too). This year's Games Convention at Leipzig was a sure fire success. And though some of you might not think that the same could be said about E3, GC 2009 has already been scheduled. Via press release, we find out that this year's event has set records above and beyond what GC 2007 had, and reception from the masses has definitely shown a good sign that the video games industry is booming more than it used to.

The awards ceremony for the Leipzig Games Convention 2008 has already taken place. And out of the dozens of games that were on the show floor, only nine were chosen to be the cream of the crop. Read the full article to see who made it to the list of awardees.

Acclaim boss David Perry seems to be making a habit out of bold claims. Remember how he said that E3 was broken and an embarrassment? Well now he says that Sony has "pretty much no chance of making money on the PS3." His E3 claim was valid, from what we've seen of the event, but this claim may be premature. What do you guys think?

More videos are just busting out from the Leipzig Games Convention. A new gameplay video is out for Tomb Raider: Underworld, where everyone's favorite raider shows off her moves and battles a couple of tigers without getting a scratch on her. Watch the vid after the link.

This piece of news doesn't come from Leipzig, but I figure you guys still want to hear about it anyway. New info is out for Final Fantasy XIII, courtesy of Famitsu, talking about the game's main character (or lack of it), the game's new battle system, and what we can expect from the upcoming demo. The Leipzig Games Convention is throttling to full gear, and Capcom's riding the first waves of the event. They have released today a new Resident Evil 5 (PS3, Xbox 360) gameplay trailer especially for the event, and here you'll find the zombies taking on more physical activity than what is comfortable -- whatever comfortable means for you when zombies are chasing you.

The good folks at 1UP have posted a bunch of new photos from the site of the Leipzig Games Convention as the booths are being set up for the big event tomorrow. From what we're seeing, it looks like we might find at Leipzig what we found lacking at E3. Pics in the full article.
