 Leipzig Game Convention 2009 Cancelled - Image 1 Now don't go thinking this is another one of those depressing economic news - it's not. It's just your average depressing video game convention news, like E3. A press release just went out announcing that this year's Leipzig Games Convention has been canceled, but they will be holding a new event in its place called Games Convention Online.

TGS 2008 - Image 1So. What does the final TGS attendance tally read? Why... it's over nine thousaaaand!!! Oh, hell yeah, it's way over nine thousand indeed. CESA, the guys who organized the event, released the final number of attendees for this year's Tokyo Game Show. Compared to last year, TGS 2008 has gotten about a thousand more attendees, thus setting a new record for highest turnout in TGS history.

Depending on how you like your games, this might come as a blessing or a bane: David Cage of Quantic Dream reveals that Heavy Rain takes about eight to twelve hours to complete in one run. I think that's a pretty sizeable amount of time, considering it's open-ended and all. Isn't that the point of replayability? Don't get me wrong though. Cage also promises that the game's still going to be a blast if you're only willing to spend time for a single run through.

Infamous dev: PS3 can do 'everything you want' - Image 1Nate Fox, game director of inFamous, praised the PlayStation 3 at the Leipzig Games Convention, saying that it can do "everything you want." Maybe not make you a sandwich, but he was talking about the console's graphic capabilities. Though I still wish it could make me a sandwich. More in the full article.
