TGS 2007: More Gran Turismo 5 Prologue details revealed - Image 1Those who couldn't wait to get hold of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue should take heed of this Tokyo Game Show 2007 announcement: there will be five tracks available in Prologue. Thinking that it's too few to keep yourself entertained until Gran Turismo 5's release? Keep in mind that there are other features jampacked in the game that will definitely enhance gamer experience.

As mentioned in a previous article, Prologue will feature a 16-player online multiplayer feature, which is a first for the Gran Turismo franchise. 30 cars will be made available, including Ferrari, Lotus, Nissan, and Mitsubishi vehicles, to add more replay value to Prologue.

If you're bored with driving cars, then you can just take a break and just watch Gran Turismo TV. Gran Turismo TV will let you get connected and watch car racing programs without having to log off the game for a fee. Also, if you're feeling lucky and want to show off your moves to friends, then you may find the Photo Mode handy in getting screenshots of your game and saving the snaps into your hard drive.

A US release date and pricing information for Prologue is not available yet, but you can count on us to keep you informed. Until then, stay tuned!

Lotus ride

For those of you who still don't have Gran Turismo HD downloaded, these four videos should be more than enough to get you moving. Showcasing different gameplays, GTHD shows what all the buzz is about, and why it's considered by not a few as one of the top racing sims around.

The first video brings you to the Reverse course with the Lotus, while the second one shows the view from within the Ferrari 599. Hey, it's not everyday you get to cruise by the countryside in swell wheels, right? So, might as well make the most out of it, even if it's just in the virtual realm.

The two other videos show the Drift attack mode and a Replay scene from network ranking. Anyways, we'll just let the videos do the talking. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did. To download, the videos, just click on the link below.

Given the furor surrounding Gran Turismo HD, it's easy to forget that what we're getting is likely to be the greatest racing game ever made in the history of like... forever. Now don't get me wrong, I don't think they should gouge us either, and I don't think they will... but that's a story for another article. Right now, let's get down to admiring the exquisite modeling skills of the wizards at Polyphony Digital. We've got a number of powerhouses on show including the ever impressive Lotus Elise, the Subaru Impreza and the Eunos Roadster and the Toyota Celica. I'd buy that for a dollar! (Get it? Cus we'll have to because of the microtra... ah, never mind).
