Mural. I want this on my wall.

Now, we've got some talent right here. As an assignment for school, the artist Jeff C. had to do something that he's never done before, and then create a piece of art based on that experience. So what he did was line up for a Wii and then sit down with Illustrator afterwards.

Though the experience was a Wii launch, the piece pretty much summarizes the launch for the PS3 as well, and perhaps even the Xbox 360 launch back in 2005.

Looking at this piece of art, it seems that Crash Bandicoot and Wario have made it to the front of the line and got their consoles early, while our favorite Street Fighters, along with Cloud, got pelted with eggs while they slept in their sleeping bags and tent (at least it wasn't pellets from a BB gun).

Meanwhile, Otacon's sleeping bag is making my head spin, while Black Mage and Kirby are probably nuking it out on ad-hoc mode on their DS Lites. You might also notice that Mario and Luigi may have taken too long saving Princess Toadstool and the rest of the Mushroom Kingdom, that's why they ended up at the back of the line. Awww.

In any case, with a piece of work like this, we'd love to have the artist paint this on our office wall as a mural, or at least turn it into a frame which would pretty much summarize and commemorate the year 2006 in the world of video games. Oh, and this guy had better get an "A+" for this...

We've been giving you coverage of Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom for a while now, including a preview interview and gameplay trailers, as well as screenshots. Until the game's released on the PS3 this coming November, you can be sure that isn't going to change.

What new stuff we do have, however, are screenshots. These new screenies seem to be of the third character in the game, Malakesh the Mage. Malakesh is the third warrior of the Dragon Shade that went to the Kingdom of Dureth to fight barbarians. Upon his return home, he finds that Malakar, the king, has begun using dark magic, enslaving the people in the process. What this definitely means is there will be a lot of hacking, slashing, freezing, and crushing as you try to protect your kingdom by betraying the now-deranged king.

One thing you might notice from the screenshots is the pic of him swinging his staff with all the red effects trailing behind it. While it does look like the mage, that kind of up-close and personal swinging doesn't seem like a very magical thing to do.

Still, if a mage can look like a warrior swinging a big stick, it's all good. Till the game comes out, let's see what else the developers have in store for us, shall we?

Untold Legends Dark Kingdom Preview

The first game in the Untold Legends franchise, Brotherhood of the Blade debuted as a PSP launch title and gave gamers their very first taste of action RPG combat on Sony's handheld wonder. Earlier this year, the game was followed by a sequel titled The Warriors Code, which sought to improve on its predecessor in just about every way possible. With new combos, a stronger, more engaging storyline, sharper graphics and a more unique art style, Warriors Code did just that. Now Sony Online Entertainment are bringing the Untold Legends universe to Sony's brand new PlayStation 3, we sat down with Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom Senior Designer John  Troy, and designer Amanda Flock to chat about their upcoming PS3 launch title, here's what they had to say.
