The Witcher 2 - Image 1 Don't think that The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf, which was supposed to be the console version of the PC RPG The Witcher, has been canned. Yes, production has halted, but it's more a case of being put aside than total cancellation. Console gamers will still get a chance to play through the Witcher world in the sequel, though.

Ratchet and Clank's gone a long way indeed, and this latest trailer for Insomniac Games' Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction proves it. We get you the skinny on what's to expect with the next-gen title about the mismatched duo and their exploits in Metropolis.

Looking more like a trailer from a Pixar movie than a trailer about a videogame, it should probably be safe to say that Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction is going to be a very interesting ride indeed. High-end graphics, smooth animation, a clean visual style - and let's not forget the stellar voice acting that's always been a signature of the series. Definitely a title to watch out for.

Updates as we get them, and enjoy the video!

Rachet & Clank - Image 1

Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) Line Producer Greg Phillips recently uploaded this lone screenshot from the video game Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction over at the official PlayStation Blog website. The producer noted that this is the one promised by Insomniac Games during one of its recent interviews.

Phillips said that this shot was taken from their E3 level, Metropolis, and it's the first thing a player will see after the opening movie cut scene. Clearly, Metropolis is under attack and the next good question to ask is why. The line producer became vague at this point as he mentioned,

It has something to do with heavily armed robotic commandos, large space ships, and, maybe, something to do with Ratchet's unknown past that is coming back to haunt him. Or maybe Quark pressed the wrong button in the planetary defense center again and is about to see his chiseled likeness go up in smoke because of it.

Greg Phillips also talked briefly about one of Ratchet & Clank's new devices called Transmorpher. It's a device that can turn most enemies into penguins, which is kind of cute when you really think about it. Lastly, the line producer promised that more will be revealed at the upcoming E3 event.

GTA IV - Image 1

Grand Theft Auto IV
fans rejoice - the latest trailer that we've all been waiting for has now just arrived, viewable on both the Grand Theft Auto 4 Yahoo Games website, as well as on the game's official website itself. We get you the skinny on what's to expect with this 1:06 minute gem.

For a trailer that lasts for only a minute and six seconds, it packs a lot of punch. We see a lot more of Niko's personality and what drives him - as well as some awesome gameplay footage that totally blew yours truly away. The city looks real and lifelike and delivers on the promise of having the feel of an actual sprawling metropolis. The character animations and voice acting - superb. The explosions, even more so - watch for the bit where a police car actually flips, as well as the bit where our heavily-accented hero shoots up a sportscar. Totally awesome.

Updates as we get them, and in the meantime, enjoy the video!
