Bandai Namco Games - Image 1What exactly does this generation of consoles mean for anime-based video games that don't transition to 3D often enough to challenge high-end hardware? For Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2, the answer is marriage of TV animation and gaming in form of Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm. Another Naruto title with "Ultimate" in it, but one making good use of the Sony PlayStation 3. Hit the jump to see its debut trailer.

Naruto: PS3 Project scan - Image 1Our favorite teenage ninja in bright orange clothes is back for another video game, this time on the PlayStation 3. Shonen Jump recently revealed Namco Bandai's latest project for the popular franchise, which is currently tagged with Naruto: PS3 Project.

If the title and scant screens imply anything, it seems that development is still in early stages. All we can say is that we like what we see, because we can never get enough Naruto games. We're all riled up after seeing our little shinobi hurting Kakashi in next-gen glory, and hopeful that the PS3's hardware will be put into good use.

Fighting games have seen their heyday in the early 90's to the early goings of the 21st century. Since then, however, the genre has taken a back seat with only a handful of franchises acting as surviving torch-bearers. Pundits have predicted that the next console cycle may be bleaker for beat-em-ups but Sega's Virtua Fighter 5 has something to say about that.

The Virtua Fighter franchise has been in the business almost as long as 3D graphics have been in use for gaming. Along with Tekken in the mid-90's, the first Virtua Fighter was the showroom baby of polygon fighters. It's interesting to see then how Sega is coping with the changing times and evolving a series with a massive following worldwide.

Find out what we think of this latest iteration right after the jump!

Dark Sector - Image 1

D3Publisher of America's arsenal should prove to be more than just competent, as the company brings a healthy lineup to the table when E3 comes. As most of us know, the much anticipated Dead Head Fred is under that company's belt.

Aside from the head splitting insanity, D3Publisher also have a couple of Naruto games across all platforms that otakus and gamers alike would embrace. Another hot title is Dark Sector - a third-person action game whose trailers ESRB had pulled out from the net.

If that's not intriguing enough though, the promise of a dark, gritty experience packed with fast action, incredible superpowers and an engaging story should suffice. Players will find themselves in the shoes of Hayden Tenno, an elite black-ops agent who got his body altered by an infection which granted inhuman abilities.

That said, here's the D3Publisher of America's complete lineup of games that they'll feature when E3 comes. Seek them out starting today up to July 13, at booths 425 and 427 of the Barker Hangar at sunny Santa Monica.
