The Time Crisis series has always offered something new in a genre where it's hard to innovate - and we get a close-up encounter of the Guncon 3, the third iteration of the peripheral that lets us play Time Crisis 4 right in our own living rooms, along with the help of the Sony PlayStation 3. In this update, we get filled in on how the second grip of the gun evolved, as well as just what the gun is capable of (in-game, at least).Check out the Guncon 3 in the full article. |

Namco Bandai and NeX Entertainment just reloaded their guns and fired a lot of screenshots and artwork for upcoming video game Time Crisis 4. The new title will feature the usual Arcade Mode as well as a new one known as Full Mission Mode which will fully utilize the light gun peripheral Guncon 3. To help you better understand all changes the Time Crisis franchise is going through right now, here's a detailed list of Time Crisis 4's features from Namco Bandai itself:

Heads up, we've got some screens from Famitsu on Namco Bandai and NeX Entertainment's Time Crisis 4. Not only that but also a bit of a preview of the new mode made available for the PS3 shooter. Yeah, the arcade mode will be intact, but a unique "Guncon FPS" mode is also incorporated. Arcade mode will follow the usual gameplay as seen in the, well, arcade. However this "Full Mission Mode" will be exclusively new for the PS3 version. This mode will have new scenarios to compliment those in arcade mode, and gameplay would be different: here's where the FPS free-roaming aspect kicks in. Full Mission Mode will fully maximize that nifty Guncon 3 peripheral (it's got two analog sticks, baby!). The newly designed light gun will allow you to perform unique moves - y'know, jump, crouch, the works - and break free from the usual rail-shooting gameplay you've been familiar with in other Time Crisis games. Oh, and for those who were wondering, Amazon's got Time Crisis 4 listed at US$ 89.99 and that's *with* the Guncon 3. Time to reload, here are more screenshots for the game:

We're sure you guys have been waiting for some eye candy of Time Crisis 4 for the PlayStation 3. Well, you're in luck as we have a new video interview and a trailer for the hot rail shooter.
For those who've been living under a rock for the past year, Time Crisis 4 from Nex Entertainment and Namco Bandai was released in the middle of last year on the arcades. It's getting ported to the PS3 with a light gun controller, the Guncon 3. The PS3 version will be an FPS instead of just a rail shooter with no control over where you're looking or going. In the interview, Takashi Satsukawa, director of the upcoming video game, talks about the controls on the Guncon 3. The trailer features the title's heroes: Giorgio Bruno and Evan Bernard plus Capt. William Rush going against the icky insect swarms of the Terror Bites. Check out the videos, you'll surely find Time Crisis 4' Guncon 3 interesting. Enjoy!
