Now that Activision's Tony Hawk skating franchise is facing stiff competition from EA's Skate, rumors are circulating that the publisher may want to innovate the series by giving the axe to the series creators. Is Neversoft out and is new dev Robomodo in? Details after the jump.

 Activision and Neversoft's Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PC) will not relent and just continues to dish out classic tracks each month. Activision's Guitar Hero 4 (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii) aims to kick the music experience up a notch with the addition of its very own drum set.  While we're still going to have to wait until fall this year to give it a shot, it looks like a few drummers from our favorite bands got a chance to give the game's new controls a try. Activision has finally unveiled Guitar Hero World Tour, the game that we all formerly knew as Guitar Hero 4. With Neversoft currently working on the game, Activision revealed a few more details about the new drum peripheral as well as World Tour's online Battle of the Bands mode.
