The release was supposed to be for early September, but now that the PS3 Slim is available, retailer supplies aren't even gonna last until then . The newly-announced, slimmed-down model of the PlayStation 3 is apparently selling so hot that retailers' first shipments have already been sold out.

There's only a little over a month left until Madden NFL 10 officially hits retail, and so EA Sports is letting series fans have a taste of the latest Madden title by way of -- what else? -- a downloadable demo. But take note: there will be two demo versions -- an extra-special demo for those who pre-ordered and a vanilla version for everybody else. Details after the jump.

The North American PSN update is now available. This week's PlayStation Store lineup has a variety of titles for all gamers. Despite the critical calamity that is the Max Payne movie, the video game arm of the franchise is still going strong. Rockstar Games has sent out a press release announcing that they're planning to release Max Payne 3 by Winter of this year.

It's not looking good for Mortal Kombat studio, Midway Games. The company, which recently filed for a Chapter 11 bankruptcy, was officially delisted from the New York Stock Exchange. Further adding to its growing list of pains is its departure from E3 group, the Entertainment Software Association.
