Terminator: Salvation producer Dan Lin has
rights over the next Tomb Raider movie, and from what he says, it's going to be a reboot. Oh don't act all surprised - we heard earlier that the new movie will be getting a fresh start. More details on this though: the way Lin describes it, Lara's new movie - an origins-type of movie - won't be full-on action but will go deeper into the character. Kinda like Dark Knight, perhaps? Well, what ever the case, you can definitely scratch Angelina Jolie from the role - they're looking for someone younger. |

Sorry to dash any hopes out there, but it looks like Megan Fox won't be starring as Lara Croft in the new Tomb Raider movie after all. According to her spokesperson at least. I hope they choose someone good though. Those are some pretty big.... shoes... to fill. |

Movie director Michael Bay, known for the recent successes of The
Transformers and Bad Boys II, has been very vocal when it comes to the
on-going format war between HD DVD and Blu-ray. His latest "theory" about this is nothing short of controversial. According to him, Microsoft is not really for the HD DVD format. Bay reasoned the current format war is nothing but a diversion to create confusion among consumers. More on this after the jump! |
