Playlogic developing new game for the Sony PS3 - Image 1Another publisher resurfaces for this year, as Playlogic Entertainment announced that it's in the early stages of developing a new game for the Sony PlayStation 3. It will be noted that prior to this, Playlogic announced that it was signing an extension for its first-party development contract with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE).

Playlogic executive VP Rogier Smit further explained that this new game is under development at the company's in-house studio in Breda, the Netherlands. In line with this announcement, Smit also elaborated on Playlogic's commitment to the UK market:

The UK is a very important market for us. Our recent releases such as Infernal (Windows PC), Ancient Wars: Sparta (Windows PC), Xyanide Resurrection (PS2, PlayStation Portable)and Obscure II (PlayStation 2, Wii, and Windows PC) have all performed well and we plan to release even more titles in the future.

PlaylogicIt should be remembered that Sony Computer Entertainment Europe signed a first-party development contract with Playlogic Entertainment early this year. Today as the agreement expires, the developer happily declared that the co-operation is being extended.

"We believe that SCEE's decision to continue the relationship with us clearly shows that Sony is very satisfied with the work we have done so far for them," shares Playlogic Executive V.P. Rogier Smit. The Netherlands-based company was established back in 2002 and has contributed a lot in game concepts across various genres. It has remained small and intact today, with the number of employees just totalling to 75.

Knights of the Temple 2 and Gene Troopers have already been released in Europe. Both games will see reach U.S. shores before the year ends. Other titles under development that will end up in 13 different platforms all in all are as follows:
