Now that the PS3 has turned three years old, Sony has something big to celebrate with. Heads up, Sony has now confirmed that FW 3.10 will be going live today, after being announced only two days ago. Now that's fast. By tomorrow, your Facebook news feed will be jam-packed with download news and Trophy-whoring.

People are still trying to get their hands on that elusive Fortune Hunter Edition for Uncharted 2 so Naughty Dog and SCEA decided to give you guys one more shot at securing the sought-after prize. All you gotta do is come out on top of the leaderboards of a mini-game found in the Uncharted 2 Home space. Play a mini-game, get the game and so much more, yes?

Some guys just don't get it. Remember Erik Estavillo? He was banned from playing Resistance: Fall of Man and the PlayStation Network earlier this year, prompting him to sue Sony for "pain and suffering" caused by the ban, as well as for the money he still had in his PSN account that he can no longer access. His case was dismissed last September 22nd since there was no plausible claim for relief via First Amendment. The case, however, isn't closed just yet folks.

Early this morning, SCEA released an update for the MAG public beta bringing the version up to 1.30. This rather sizable updated saw about 8,000 updates and fixes - but the SCEA director of development, Seth Luisi, wasn't crazy enough to post 'em all at the PlayStation Blog. He did, however, give us a quick list of highlights from the changelog.

SCEA has announced a new downloadable map pack for SOCOM: Confrontation is on the way. Known simply as the Cold Front pack, it will be loaded with new features and contents, including a brand new snowy Eastern European area of operations. It will also include two new maps and three classic SOCOM maps for 16 to 32 players.

To celebrate the upcoming North American launch of Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack In Time, SCEA has released new details regarding the upcoming Ratchet & Clank themed space that will soon be available to PlayStation Home. The new Ratchet & Clank: Time Travelers content will feature three mini-games, costumes, rewards and a very special personal apartment.

Speaking with Forbes in his latest interview, SCEA president Jack Tretton went all out in support of the PlayStation brand and how its success drives the industry forward. To make a long story short, the SCEA big man believes that the industry, as a whole, would be so much better off when it's Sony on top of the food chain. Not everyone was happy with Sony's Firmware 3.0 update, we all know that. Apparently though, it turns out somebody was mad enough to actually file a lawsuit against Sony for having the said upgrade cause "malfunction" to his PS3 unit. Reports of freezes came rolling out almost immediately when the firmware was released.

We know, we know. Sony promised EyePet will be coming on November 17th, 2009. Unfortunately, there's been some change in plans. The virtual pet has been pushed back to a Spring 2010 release.

To celebrate the launch of PSP Go, SCEA has decided to update the PlayStation Store a day early. PSP Go owners as well as the die hard PSP gamers will surely have plenty of reasons to celebrate this week as Sony promises to release over a hundred new PSP games including the PSP minis, that is now available for download. But if you're a PS3 owner, don't worry, there are plenty of stuff waiting for you.
