Early this February, a rumor broke out that Syphon Filter 5 was cooking in the kitchens of Sony Bend. This came about after a job posting over at their site, coupled with a post from PCB Production's site for a Facial Motion Capture credits for the game. Back then, Isaac C. posited that it may very well have been just an innocent typo. Turns out he was spot on.

Syphon Filter 5 anyone? The game is the subject of the latest rumor circulating the Intarwebs. It seems that one of Kotaku's readers spotted a couple of hints that led to speculation that the Sony Bend studio is busy cooking up the latest entry to the franchise.

The latest issue of PS3 gaming magazine PS3M recently revealed some juicy info that's going to appeal to PS3 gamers: the magazine has "confirmed" the existence of the Resistance: Fall of Man sequel, as well as mentioned the next-gen debut of Sony Bend's Syphon Filter franchise.
