Ubisoft is hell-bent on putting its foot down against piracy as they are targeting this year to come out with a piracy solution for their games on the various platforms. The publisher has admitted that their products have been dealt a heavy blow because of the piracy, and they are now working on a tool that should cushion the impact of the said problem.

The release of Resident Evil 5 is looming, but the issue of the game being racist has yet to die down. Stepping into the scene is Glenn Bowman, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Anthropology at the University of Kent, who says that the game isn't racist at all. There's no word if this will ever land on other regions, but as for Norway (*caveat in full article), there seems to be a new kind of PS3 bundle available. Online retailer Komplett has a 160GB PS3 bundle which includes naught a single Blu-ray disc. Instead, it's packing it in with four PSN coupons for the likes of GT5: Prologue, Super Stardust HD, and such.

Sony's certainly no stranger to risky games, what with a diverse library of games that have anything from unique, to offbeat, to stunning. Europe's PlayStation Network update this week is a treasure trove for PS3 and PSP users alike. PS3 owners get the free demos for Pure (as scheduled!) and NHL 2K9. Meanwhile, PSP owners finally get the PSP Media Manager for F-R-E-E!

Reports have come in that the PC version of Funcom's Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures (the Xbox 360 version is still in the works) has dethroned Grand Theft Auto 4 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) from the sales list in both Germany and Sweden. Sony Computer Entertainment Europe president and CEO David Reeves said that this summer,  they are expecting the PlayStation 3 to have a bigger user base than the Xbox 360 in every PAL territories.
