There's no word if this will ever land on other regions, but as for Norway (*caveat in full article), there seems to be a new kind of PS3 bundle available. Online retailer Komplett has a 160GB PS3 bundle which includes naught a single Blu-ray disc. Instead, it's packing it in with four PSN coupons for the likes of GT5: Prologue, Super Stardust HD, and such.

Sony's certainly no stranger to risky games, what with a diverse library of games that have anything from unique, to offbeat, to stunning. PlayStation ads have always been... strange, to say the least. They come in various flavors, from the high-octane to the downright freaky. Europe's PlayStation Network update this week is a treasure trove for PS3 and PSP users alike. PS3 owners get the free demos for Pure (as scheduled!) and NHL 2K9. Meanwhile, PSP owners finally get the PSP Media Manager for F-R-E-E!

Reports have come in that the PC version of Funcom's Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures (the Xbox 360 version is still in the works) has dethroned Grand Theft Auto 4 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) from the sales list in both Germany and Sweden. Sony Computer Entertainment Europe president and CEO David Reeves said that this summer,  they are expecting the PlayStation 3 to have a bigger user base than the Xbox 360 in every PAL territories.

Activision and Neversoft's Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PC) is tearing up some serious riffs all over the world and fans are crying out for more. Now the devs are coming out with a new DLC which will expand the gaming experience with contemporary stars The Used and Linkin Park. This new package comes out exclusively for the Microsoft Xbox 360 version via Xbox Live and on the Sony PlayStation 3 via the PlayStation Network. More details follow in the detailed version.

Here's a strange tidbit about Clive Barker's Jericho (for PS3, Xbox 360, PC) of Mercury Steam. It turns out that the game's neat Steelbook Special Edition is only available in select countries, for specific consoles.

Here's how it goes: UK gets the Clive Barker's Jericho Special Edition for both PS3 and the Xbox 360, while US gets the Special Edition only for the Xbox 360. Spain and Benelux will be able to snag the SEs for the PlayStation 3 console. No word is out if there will be Special Edition copies available for the PC version of the game.

Just so you know, what sets the Special apart from the vanilla-flavored copies of the game is the artbook, packed with illustrations depicting the game's environments, monsters, and characters mostly drawn by Clive Barker himself.

Another distinguishing feature of Clive Barker's Jericho SE is its gorgeous Steelbook packaging, so that you'll be able to properly protect your valuable game discs. The neat Steelbook packaging already sounds like a valid reason to get the Special Edition of the game as it is.

Although it hasn't been officially announced yet, the Sydney Morning Herald says that Sony will be releasing PlayTV in Australia next year. As one of the territories that support Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB-T), along with some other PAL countries, PlayTV being available in the land down under is entirely possible. 

So far, SCEE has only officially announced PlayTV for the UK, France, Italy, Germany, and Spain. PlayTV is the new feature made specifically for the PlayStation 3. It's basically a black box that lets the console pick up TV broadcasts via DVB-T, and the console can record the programs. The recorded videos can then also be transferred onto the PlayStation Portable.

The Herald says that the biggest problem with PlayTV appearing in Australia may be the local networks' reluctance to have a personal video recorder (PVR) have access to their electronic program guides. We'll probably hear more about it from Sony Australia soon, so stay tuned for updates.
