So BioShock 2 (Xbox 360, PS3, and PC) won't be arriving till 2010. No idea which part of the year, but nonetheless, it's still gonna be quite the wait for sure. The good news - and we're not promising this will compensate for the delayed release, but it's still worth a try - is that the first multiplayer trailer will finally debut this Thursday.

God of War III sure whetted our appetites on its very brief debut at the Spike TV VGAs. Well, there will be more teasing as Sony promises to show more of the game in a few weeks.

So it wasn't just our very own Karl B. that didn't have his "OMFGBBQ" moment with the God of War 3 trailer shown during the VGA. As it turns out, even David Jaffe himself reveals that the trailer was pretty "meh." Don't get him wrong though, he's got quite a lot to say to explain himself. He also talks about the VGA event and the other trailers shown - he gives his own sentiments on award shows in general and this whole concept of "quantifying" the "best" game of the year.

After everything was said and done, Grand Theft Auto 4 (PS3, Xbox 360) walked away with the Game of the Year award at this year's Spike TV Video Game Awards, winning out over Fallout 3, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, and Gears of War 2. You've probably already seen the God of War 3 trailer we posted about a while ago. Now let's look at the other PS3 heavy hitter that shined under the spotlight at the Spike TV Video Game Awards 2008: Naughty Dog's Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.

The 2008 SpikeTV Video Game Awards played host to a couple of new announcements from Electronic Arts about two of their upcoming titles: Dante's Inferno and Fight Night Round 4. Hit the jump for details.

The other week, ex-God of War director David Jaffe revealed on his blog that Sony just showed him some God of War III footage. Fast-forward through the timeline a bit, and Geoff Keighley of Spike TV confirmed that the upcoming GoW3 footage to be shown during their VGA event will indeed be real-time graphics. Now comes a bit of a caveat from David Jaffe: what Sony showed him the other week is NOT the same footage scheduled to be revealed during VGA.

Here's some great news! I'm sure a lot of you are excited to see the God of War III footage that was promised to be revealed during Spike TV's VGA event (December 14, woohoo!). And if you remember from a few weeks back, some people - eg. Jaffe and the Sony staff in London - were shown GoW3, and they were pretty impressed. Now, Geoff Keighley of Spike TV has confirmed that the God of War III footage to hit VGA will most definitely real-time graphics!

How do these titles grab you? God of War III, Uncharted 2, Brutal Legend, Terminator Salvation, Mafia II. These are just some of the games that will have their world premiere on Spike TV 's 2008 Video Game Awards this December 14.
