Rumors of a new Syndicate game from Electronic Arts is true, according to sources close to GamesIndustry.biz. The project is given the working title Project Redlime, and will be released on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. EA has yet to give official confirmation.

Hey look, it's another trailer. They say hope begins in the dark, and that's exactly where our hero will shine. We have Vin Diesel running loose, beating people up, major selling point right there.

According to an update from Starbreeze Studios, Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) will be released in spring, 2009. It will be featuring a new campaign not found in the original game, Escape from Butcher Bay, adding 10 more hours of gametime.

Because it's turning out to be a slow news day in the wild, wild world of video gaming, we're following up on a rumor - with another rumor.

You guys remember Syndicate? The cyberpunk game of yesteryear? An anonymous source popped up last week to say that a new Syndicate game was in the works. This week, another one chimed in to say that it is "definitely" in the works.

Anybody here remember Bullfrog's classic tactical game Syndicate? If you've ever played any of the games in the Syndicate franchise and loved it, then here's some good news for you.

Another title believed to be vaporware comes back to life after a year-long lull in updates. Starbreeze Studio's The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) is "just about done," so says an admin on the developer's official forums.

Starbreeze Studios, the developer of The Darkness on the PS3 and Xbox 360, has recently sent word that it's partnering with Electronic Arts to remake one of the latter company's classic games.

Back in May, Sierra Entertainment had finally confirmed Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena as being developed for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 by Starbreeze Studios. At that time, it was scheduled to be released sometime this year.

A spokesperson for Sierra just confirmed to Pro-G that this projected date has been delayed and the game is now currently cuffed and chained to 2008. No other specific details have been given, especially with regards to the reason of the delay.

If I'd hazard a guess, they're probably trying to render all those muscles of Vin Diesel. At the rate that that guy is built like a rock, god knows how long it'd take the team to create a realistic Diesel. Of course, I could be wrong. Obviously wrong.
