In case you forgot, Midway once had an open-wold title called This Is Vegas in development for PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. It would be understandable if this game hasn't crossed your mind in a while, though, as even before Midway's troubles started getting really bad it had dropped off the radar. Just recently, there was some talk that the game had been canceled, but according to new Midway owner Warner Bros., that's not true at all.

If you're hungry for more updates for Midway Games' upcoming open-world action game This is Vegas (PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3), then you might find it useful to know that the developers at Surreal Software have recently opened a devblog dedicated to the game. The new blog will focus on giving players an idea of the new title as well as the many features that it will sport once it goes live. Is Surreal Software, the development studio owned by Midway Games, which gave us the classic franchises Drakan (PC/PS2), The Lord of the Rings (PC, PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360) and The Suffering (PS2/Xbox), coming up with a new title for the PS3? IGN seems to think so.

No details were given, not even the genre, but  the company described the upcoming project as "Midway's biggest titles under development" and "a concept which will blow you away." These were taken from statements posted on Surreal's website job section under the position of Senior Associate Producer. The site also said the position is a chance "to be the keystone of a large and experienced development team".  Under another position (Associate Gameplay Programmer), Surreal said it was looking for a person to develop a "game-specific source base of our top secret non-franchise, non-sequel project".

The project hasn't even started and we're already revved up.
