Finally, a game that everyone is definitely waiting for: Madden NFL 10. We' have some lackluster stand alone games the few weeks past, but not anymore. Starting this week, you're finally gonna get all the field action you've been longing for. Not only that, this whole week of August 9th to 15th seems to well-represented, with various games sprinkled all throughout the different days. Check out the list after the jump.

Kratos and Nate Drake won't be the only ones getting some Hollywood screen time. Bike messenger turned superhero Cole McGrath is getting in on the action too.

Texas-based studio Gearbox has confirmed that that they have indeed trademarked the "War Hero" IP. Superannution has reported that there are actually four titles stringed to this new IP, filed on June 18th of this year. More details after the jump.

It's the US PlayStation Store's turn now to roll the list out, and this week features two new downloadable games, two additional classics, and a whole lot of DLC. This week on the European PlayStation Store - some good DLCs coming your way. Street Fighter IV gets alternate costumes, and MotorStorm: Pacific Rift gets the Lunar Tec Signature Livery Pack. Bejeweled 2 and Zen Pinball are also now available for download, among others. Can you feel the buzz now? We're definitely gearing up for E3. To be honest, I don't think we've ever been this excited about the E3. It just feels so wonderful to get that zing on once more, especially after the really, really, really tough past year for the gaming community. Good thing the industry continues to trudge along, making sure that our entertainment is their number one priority. There's a new bill being hatched in Texas that may require convicted sex offenders to register their gamertags and other account names for online game networks like the PlayStation Network and Second Life with the fuzz. The new bill is called HB 22 and is headed to the Texas House of Representatives. If it passes there, it's next stop will be the Senate.

This week's haul at the PSN video store isn't as big as last week's, but hey, that one was a tough act to follow. Besides, we still have a good batch this week, starting with the director's cut of Daredevil. The Mothman Prophecies is also pretty good, but if you wanna load up on the creepy, Candyman will do the job. And BSG fans, the much-awaited finale is coming to the video store too. Said to be the hardest song to play on Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (PS3, 360, Wii, PC), the heavy-metal shredder "Through the Fire and Flames" by DragonForce was no song for the average gamer. 14 year old Danny Johnson from Grapevine, Texas set a new world record in that very song during at a media event sponsored by the Guinness World Records 2009 Gamer's Edition.
