Sony is kind of known for its tasteless and sometimes crude ads. The more controversial it is, the better they seem to think it is. In fact, we almost expect them to pull off something that would shock civil sensibilities. And so here we are, with yet another attention-grabbing, gasp-inducing, peace-disturbing images from Sony, in promotion of PlayStation 3 in Chile.

Electronic Arts have announced that the critically acclaimed first-person shooter multiplayer game Battlefield 1943 will be available on July 8 on Xbox Live marketplace for 1200 MS points and on July 9 on the Playstation Network for US$ 15.00.

Following Treyarch's earlier announcement of Call of Duty: World At War (PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii, DS) breaking the 11 million units sold mark, we now hear that the game's second map pack has already been downloaded more than a million times. And in only four days, no less.

At the end of March, we received a pres release stating that Map Pack 1 for Treyarch's Call of Duty: World at War has successfully broken the downloads record on Xbox Live. The curious thing about it was that there was no figure attached to the report, although there was mention that more than 150 million people have already joined in the multiplayer around the world.  Today we solve that mathematical oddity as we have the figures for the said blockbuster Map Pack 1.

They're dead and they're bloody everywhere! Yes, it's not only Nazis that you'll be dealing with in Call of Duty: World at War (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, DS), but also Nazi zombies. Dangnnabit, where's good ol' sunlight when you need it?

In a recent interview, Hank Keirsey, military adviser for the Call of Duty franchise, said that he believes the creation of well made, realistic war games actually help younger generations become aware of and gain an appreciation for those troubled times in history.
