After all the fighting words Kaz Hirai and Aaron Greenberg slung at each other's console offerings, here comes Michael Pachter to the rescue! Well
no, not really, but seeing as how he's never been one to shy away from
a chance to get himself heard, he's thrown his own two cents in on the
issue. |

It just never ends. Sony's Kazuo Hirai recently threw some mud Microsoft's way when he said that the Xbox 360 had "no longevity," and that the PS3 will have a higher install base by the end of its life cycle. Aaron Greenberg, Microsoft's fanboy spokesperson Xbox Product Management Director, has a few things to say about that. |

If and when the PlayStation 3 gets a price cut, practically everyone expects sales to boom, if not completely skyrocket to the moon. Enough to catch up and totally whoop the Xbox 360 perhaps? Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg isn't worried about it at all. |

Aaron Greenberg shares a few words with G4TV and lets us in on a little more PS3-sniping, and more citing of figures that the Xbox 360 and Wii have that the PS3 does not. What's more, he expects Sony to drop the price of their console if they want to stay competitive. More info after the jump. |

A lot of us can agree that the PlayStation 3 really needs a price cut. Just how badly does it need one? Well, the Xbox 360 now leads by over 8 million units worldwide. It's gotten so that even Microsoft's openly expecting them to have a price cut soon. |

A big "oh no, they didn't!" moment came about last week when Ernst & Young revealed that Microsoft is one of their many clients that are joining in on tests to see if PlayStation Home could become a viable environment for virtual corporate meetings. Today, Microsoft has dismissed these reports, saying that they have everything they need as it is. |
