Sony Ericsson Satio - Image 1 Remember the Sony Ericsson Aino? The phone that could sync up with the PS3 and let users manage their PS3-stored media? Yeah, another Sony Ericsson phone just did it one better by being able to play PlayStation games.

Namco Bandai - Image 1Two years ago, Atari Europe was fortunately in the safe zone, despite the mother company's grim and disheartening financial report of Q2 2007. Back then, the problem was isolated only to the US offices, and the Atari branch was said to be unharmed by the restructuring overseas. Today, however, Atari Europe is no more, now having been officially acquired by Namco Bandai.

Sony PlayStation 3 - Image 1Sony CEO Howard Stringer recently let Nikkei Electronics Asia on some of Sony's plans for their hardware, including of course the PlayStation 3. One of the most interesting things Stringer mentioned is that Sony is  now transitioning from being a closed system to an open one. Stringer also said that expansion to other Sony hardware is definitely in the cards for the PlayStation Network.

INSERTTITLEHEREI'm actually pretty excited for Trash Panic's PSN release - whenever that'll be, at least. I mean, I'm not much of a treehugger myself, but the gameplay looks fun. The localized version is being produced by Josh Miller, and here in this video interview, he's explaining the mechanics of the game.

Trash Panic - Image 1Here's a testament to Sony going more casual - but clearly substantial - with its games: they've announced Trash Panic for the PlayStation Network, an Earth-friendly puzzle game involving you trying to compact some garbage in an over-sized trash bin of sorts. Yeah, what with Earth Day being tomorrow, why not celebrate it a day early with this announcement huh?

L.A. Noire - Image 1After more than a year already, rumors just won't die down about Team Bondi's L.A. Noire title for the PS3 -- and it also being for the Xbox 360. Yep, the rumor mill is at it again, this time as supposedly indicated by the Hiring sign plastered on the dev's site. This means they need more people for the Xbox 360 version, they say.

Trash Box - Image 1Here's a novel kind of casual game. Introducing: Gomibako (a.k.a Trash Box), a PSN game that's actually already available in Asia. The concept for this trash-compacting puzzle game came up during the PlayStation C.A.M.P. by one of its participants. Check out the videos in the full article to see how it plays out. I actually love the physics. Meanwhile, SCEA and SCEE haven't announced it for other regions yet, but a recently discovered clue may provide an answer.
