Let's take another trip to the breathtaking land or Eorzea in this new trailer for Final Fantasy XIV (PS3, PC) fresh from TGS 09. Better make sure you ready your eyes for this one - it looks fantastic. In fact, it looks so good that it made the Marlboro seem like it smells nice...or extra rancid. We may not have seen it at E3, but it looks like David Perry is finally ready to show off his game streaming service, Gaikai, to the public. In a new video posted on his own website, Perry demonstrates how GaiKai handles, running games like Spore, World of Warcraft, and an emulated Mario Kart 64 on a standard computer with a home cable connection. Media Molecule co-founder Alex Evans has revealed a few of their plans for LittleBigPlanet, including a new web-based level-sharing portal and a beta test for upcoming features. And what's this? The PSP version of LBP is just "the first game"? More after the jump.

More news about PlayStation Home that doesn't say the beta is open now! Sony has sent out word on the PlayStation forums that version 1.0 will hit the closed beta soon (but not that soon), and will be inviting a large number of extra testers once it happens.

At the Tokyo Game Show, SCEJ announced that they'll be opening up the open beta before the year ends. Via press wire, they released more details for the event.

If you noticed that SOCOM: Confrontation beta wasn't available yesterday, it's because Slant Six Games hasn't released it yet. Apparently, the beta has been delayed and won't be out until September 5. Details in the full article.

Good news for gamers who are looking forward to the LittleBigPlanet beta test later this month. One of the game's developers has confirmed that the beta is still on track. It's a limited public beta test though - but Sony hasn't released any details on how to let people in yet. Well let you know as soon as we do.
