Early 2010 is gonna be huge not only for PS3 gamers but also for Quantic Dream in particular. This is when Heavy Rain will be coming out, and there is undoubtedly a lot of expectations for this game. Will it go over and beyond the expectations set up by the discriminating gaming public? Maybe the demo that will come out will give an idea.

Sony may not have had anything big to announce regarding the PS3 hardware this week, but news about the console's software has continued to pour in. We heard stuff about the God of War III demo, the Uncharted movie (Wolverine as Nate Drake?), and this one scene in Modern Warfare 2 that's raised the hackles of a few. The Network got some attention as well, what with Netflix finally being confirmed and all. Oh, and that banned Resistance guy still hasn't given up on suing Sony. I guess some people just don't learn.

Quantic Dream's David Cage was never really shy about professing his undying love for Sony's PlayStation 3. In fact, any chance he gets, he'll unabashedly rave about it. Like at the Developer Session at the Eurogamer Expo in London today. Here he reiterates yet again his already well-known sentiment: Heavy Rain just won't work on any other console.

Guillaume de Fondaumiere, the co-CEO of Heavy Rain developer Quantic Dream, has offered more insights on the reason why their story-driven PS3 exclusive is being delayed to 2010. According to him, one key reason is because a game as innovative as Heavy Rain "needs space."

As it is, Heavy Rain is looking mighty impressive. However - and by this we know for sure that they are not just a mediocre developer -  Quantic Dream is saying that they can do so much more in improving the game's visuals.

During last week's GamesCom, Quantic Dream's David Cage sat down with the Euro PlayStation blog for an interview about his creation, Heavy Rain. The story-heavy PS3 title has turned quite a few heads since it was first revealed, but according to Cage, turning an intricate script spanning over 2,000 pages into a game was no easy task. The last two characters of the upcoming PS3 exclusive Heavy Rain was finally announced by Quantic Dream's David Cage during a live presentation of the game at GamesCom. According to Cage, the two characters came about from fear, guilt and panic.

In an interview with Kikizo, Quantic Dream's founder, David Cage, recounted an instance when he met the awesome, larger than life Hideo Kojima. "Very interesting" was how he described the said meeting with the creator of one of the most successful icons in videogaming history, Solid Snake.

As good as you might think Heavy Rain looks now, Quantic Dream's David Cage says that they're still a long way from finishing it up. In an interview with NowGamer, Cage revealed that the PS3 exclusive title is still in alpha and that there's still "a whole lot of work to be done".
