Just because Gabe Newell thinks that the PS3 is a waste of time, doesn't mean that Valve Corporation is closing doors on the console altogether. In fact, Valve's PR exec, Doug Lombardi, expressed that the company is "up on the idea" of developing for the PS3. Who cares what their managing director thinks? |

Could Valve's Doug Lombardi have really made peace with Sony's PlayStation 3? If UK retailers GAME and Play.com's product listings are to be believed, it would seem yes. Seen in these sites are actual pages for Left 4 Dead ( Xbox 360, PC) - for the PlayStation 3. Could it be really coming out on the PS3 soon? |

Earlier today, a rumor broke out like wildfire that Valve, the ever-intrepid studio of FPS games, was going to be bought by Google "any minute now." Yes, Google. I was all "buh?" So I waited around a bit to see where that was going before I decided to share the news with you guys, and true enough, it really was just rumor. So if you hear that Google suddenly decided to become a video game magnate, approach it with skepticism. |

We all know how Valve doesn't dig Sony's PlayStation 3. We've all heard Gabe Newell bash the console public on more than one occasion, after all. But what's this going on? Valve Corporation is having a change of heart? No less than Doug Lombardi confirms as much. |

We all know that Valve's Half-Life 2: Episode 2 kicked some serious booty last year, and it's still among today's favorites because of its superior gameplay. The only downside in this scenario is that fans are asking for more, and they've started looking at E3 2008 as the possible birthplace of the next episode. Valve says "not yet", but they've got another thing for itchy trigger fingers. More after the jump. |
