Last week's batch may be a tough act to follow, but this week holds its own, bidding for your buck. The Call of Juarez prequel Bound in Blood (PS3, Xbox 360 and PC) is out now if you want a mean FPS. You can also give Infernal: Hell's Vengeance a look if the McCall brothers aren't mean enough for you. Be sure to check out the week's releases on this edition of On Shelves This Week.

The North American PSN update is now available. This week's PlayStation Store lineup has a variety of titles for all gamers. To start the list, you have the downloadable puzzler game Droplitz, a PS1 classic game Mobile Light Force, The BIGS 2 Demo, new add-on contents for High Velocity Bowling and LittleBigPlanet, four downloadable games for the PSP and more.

This is a much, much better line-up for our On Shelves section this week. As in MUCH. One, the Transformers are finally rolling out (unfortch, Megan Fox won't be included in your game purchase). Two, Fight Night Round 4 is also stepping into the ring to knock you out with. Three, The Conduit is also set to make waves on your Wii, and so is the Resident Evil Archives. And of course, the ever-present DS games for the kids. Yes, it doesn't just stop at three. Go ahead, check out what else is there this week.

Did you guys see that Bayonetta model at E3? Man, I can only applaud such dedication. She didn't look half-bad either. The game's been looking damn good too, and it's been steadily building up hype for its impending yet still unannounced release. Japanese gaming mag Famitsu is also getting in on the Bayonetta action with a full six-page feature complete with an interview with game director Hideki Kamiya and producer Yusuke Hoshimoto. Bobby Kotick is all about the bottom line and he's made no bones about it. The Activision CEO has continually called for a PS3 price cut (which one would assume isn't because of a sense of altruism on Kotick's part), and since Sony isn't budging on that issue, he's starting to throw the full weight of Activision around. You can read all about the back-and-forth between Activision and Sony as well as all the other big PS3 news this week in this edition of the PS3 Weekend Warrior.

Yep, you're not imagining it. That's really an ESRB page showing its rating for Wild Arms 2, and coming to the PlayStation Network to be made available to both the PS3 and the PSP.

We've got some major heroes on board this week, from those serving the country in full honor and glory, to childhood heroes. Marshmallow Men busting ghost agents (Ghostbusters: The Video Game), WWI fliers, they're all in this week's On Shelves list. Dig in and enjoy.

Sony execs had a lot to say this week, with their statements running the gamut of emotions from frustration to confidence. The price cut rumor was again resurrected, but that's understandable since we didn't hear a peep at all from Sony about it during E3. We didn't see a lot of big game-related news this week, but there's still meaty stuff nonetheless with updates for Gran Turismo 5 (not a release date, though), The Last Guardian, Uncharted 2 and LittleBigPlanet, just to name a few. The ESRB's ratings page has done a bang-up job lately of giving us an idea of what big games are coming to the PSOne Classics service next. We saw Final Fantasy VII and Metal Gear Solid and we got 'em (although the latter is still launching this week), so there's no reason to believe that this new entry in the listings is bogus.

This year's E3 was truly one for the books. After the busy week we had last week, we here at QJ.NET decided to do a little digging to look for 25 excellent games under US$ 25 that were released last year in honor of this year's E3.
