PS3 Weekend Warrior - Image 1Huge week for the PS3. For starters, firmware 3.10 is now live, spamming Facebook news feeds everywhere with Trophy information and a few PSN "purchases" whether they were paid for or for free. Sony also had the floor at the Media Investor Conference, where they revealed that they're planning to upgrade PS3s for full 3D support in 2010, as well as a future revenue stream from "PSN subscriptions." To top it all of - rumor erupts that Sony might be bringing Firefox into PS3s, which could solve the browser problem for Slim owners. PS3 XMB - Image 1Now that the PS3 has turned three years old, Sony has something big to celebrate with. Heads up, Sony has now confirmed that FW 3.10 will be going live today, after being announced only two days ago. Now that's fast. By tomorrow, your Facebook news feed will be jam-packed with download news and Trophy-whoring.

facebook - Image 1Heads up to all PlayStation 3 owners! Sony has just revealed some more details about the upcoming PS3 firmware update version 3.10 which is scheduled to arrive "soon". The latest update will incorporate Facebook functionality into the console.

PS3 Weekend Warrior - Image 1 Modern Warfare 2 came out this week. You know what that means. Lots of news about what is being claimed as the biggest entertainment launch of all time. From the good to the bad, the funny to the infuriating, it's in the PS3 Weekend Warrior. But that's not the only big news this week. Square Enix had been building up hype throughout the week for a Final Fantasy XIII announcement, and when that announcement came, well, it didn't disappoint. All this and more past the jump.

Facebook on PS3 - Image 1PS3 users have had access to Facebook and other social networking sites like Twitter for a while now thanks to the console's web browser. It looks like Sony wants to take it a step further though by integrating a Facebook icon directly into the XMB.

Modern Warfare 2 - Image 1British MPs are apparently not impressed with Activision's Modern Warfare 2 (PC, PS3 and Xbox 360). Keith Vaz, noted anti-game politician, has made comments about the game to the Daily Mail, saying he is "absolutely shocked" at the game's violence.
