Gearbox Software's upcoming downloadable content for Borderlands is said to add around six more hours of new gameplay. Titled "The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned", the first DLC pack will be available tomorrow on Xbox 360 and PS3. So while waiting for the additional content to arrive, how about we take a look at the launch trailer first.

There may be some glitches here and there, but that's certainly not stopping gamers from getting hold of Borderlands (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC)-- or at least trying to. Reports are coming in, saying that there appears to be a shortage of the game on retail shelves.

If you picked up a copy of Borderlands for the PS3 hoping to get some co-op time with your friends, you may have to wait a while. Early purchasers have reported that the game's co-op mode is a mess.

Thanks to some nifty procedural generation, Borderlands already has an absurdly high gun count. If a couple hundred thousand firearms are still not enough for you, you can get an extra eight from GameStop.

Borderlands is one of the better looking games I've seen all year thanks to the new art style. Still, the gameplay is much more important in an open-world game like this. The best way to show it off would probably be by way of a demo, but there's a chance that we won't be seeing a Borderlands demo anytime soon. DLC, on the other hand, has a better chance of appearing.

Texas-based studio Gearbox has confirmed that that they have indeed trademarked the "War Hero" IP. Superannution has reported that there are actually four titles stringed to this new IP, filed on June 18th of this year. More details after the jump.

Gearbox Software's Aliens: Colonial Marines (PS3, Xbox 360) was first announced three years ago. Originally, it was supposed to come out last year, but it was rescheduled for a mid-2009 release. We're now coming to the end of mid-2009 but the game's still nowhere in sight. Gearbox says it's still coming, though. Just not this year.

It's not exactly a firm release date yet, but the release window for Gearbox Software's upcoming sci-fi shooter-RPG Borderlands has been narrowed down.

Here's a new trailer for Gearbox Software and 2K Games' Borderlands (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC) showing off the game's new concept art-ish style. It seems to be mostly made of cutscenes but there's a second's worth of gameplay footage that doesn't seem to be all that different from the pre-rendered parts. Check it out after the jump.

Borderlands (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC) kinda dropped out of the radar after we all heard about the "OMG 650,000 guns in-game!" thing from Gearbox president Randy Pitchford. Those waiting for the game can rest assured, though, as it is apparently still a go for release this year.
