A few hours ago, we reported that according to id Software's Tim Willits, the 6 to 8 GB data capacity of the Xbox 360 has significantly hindered the Rage (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) team from putting in content which they have originally intended. Apparently, that wasn't what he meant and no cuts were made to the game. More after the jump.

It's the Xbox 360's fault. This is what Tim Willits has revealed at a discussion at the Austin Game Developers Conference, talking about the development of Rage's (PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360) story, and why they had to make across the board cuts on the game's feature.

The number four comes after three, right? Normally, yes. In the world of video games, however, it's not necessarily the case. Developers have taken on the "because I said so" school of thought in naming games, and id Software is among the best pupils of the philosophy. More in the full article.

This month saw the exodus of three companies from the ranks of the Entertainment Software Association (ESA). Following the trend started by Activision, Vivendi, and LucasArts, id Software of Doom and Quake fame recently confirmed that it will also be taking its leave from the video gaming group. Normally, a major event such as E3 would have all the big name companies attending it.  This year will be different, though, as five publishers have decided to drop out of the event altogether.
