Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce - Image 1We're so used to getting console or PC games ported to handhelds. What if we turn things around and make it a console port of a handheld game? Sounds good,  yes? Koei thought so too, and so has announced that they will be porting the PSP title, Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce, to both the PS3 and the Xbox 360.

PS3 Motion Controller - Image 1Not everyone seems to be absolutely gung-ho about the motion control technology debuted by Microsoft and Sony at this year's E3 event. Tecmo Koei president Kenji Matsubara is one of those who carries certain "concerns" about the efficiency of the said controls to games, characterizing it more as suited for casual games than hardcore action ones.

Sony PlayStation 3 - Image 1Another CEO has joined in the call for a PS3 price cut. Unlike that other guy, however, this one's being way more polite. He used "please", for one thing. More after the jump.

Koei Tecmo - Image 1After the Ninja Gaiden dojo, Tecmo, and Dynasty Warrior factory, Koei, completed their merger last April, the newly-formed Koei Tecmo Holdings is now hard at work on a crossover title, combining IPs from both publishers to launch a new one. Time to review those Koei and Tecmo titles so we can all play guessing games as to which IPs will be making it to the new Koei Tecmo title.

QuickJump QuickPeek - Image 1I'm personally baffled and not all too keen about Koei Tecmo's proposition of  incentivizing their staff to expand their families. Maybe they do need the population in their headquarters' town. But what I am sure of is that the news and updates here at QJ are expanding and on their own, beyond the shadows of E3.The (post) event updates have considerably slowed down, but in its place are new items and updates to buzz about, like a new custom firmware, executives' gripes about leakages in the industry, and pushing forth the race of this generation from mere hardware to motion control. It's all right here, so dig in.

Warriors Orochi Z - Image 1Waiting for Warriors Orochi Z to cross to North American shores? Sorry guys, but it's not happening. A Koei representative confirmed that the company did have plans of bringing the game over as Warriors Orochi: The Collective. That's right: "did".

Dynasty Warriors - Image 1I love playing Dynasty Warriors, but I can't help but laugh at the Dynasty Warrior-factory remarks thrown at Koei. Man, talk about bread and butter. In fact, if you check Koei's lineup at their site, seven of the nine games in the console/PC division are DW-related, five of nine for portable. Basing its story from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, the game was better received in the East than the West. That's where Warriors: Legends of Troy comes in. More after the jump.
