Now here's some awesome swag you'll find hard to resist. How awesome? Try godly awesome. It's official - Sony has announced the Ultimate Edition as well as some pre-order bonuses for God of War III.

Sony has announced that the God of War Collection has officially gone gold and is now   scheduled for shipping  on November 17. The action pack bundle introduces fans and newcomers alike to experience the first two God of War games to the PS3 in HD presentation. It also contains a download code for the much awaited PS3 exclusive God of War III demo. But that's not all, Sony has also revealed the PS3 trophy list for each collection.

Itching for that elusive God of War III demo? Those in Europe are gonna have to find something else to scratch with. Eurogamer reports that Sony has informed them that the God of War III demo will not be available in Europe for the rest of 2009.

God of War III's demo is coming to the Japanese PlayStation Store by November. And it's going by the way of inFamous. Details after the jump.

But if God of War III art director, Ken Feldman, had his way, we'd be looking at the Blades of Chaos from Kratos' eyes. That's right, he wanted God of War III to be an FPS.

When a lot of people found the first Assassin's Creed to be a bit redundant, Ubisoft made steps to ensure that you won't just be hopping all over rooftops and going emo atop View Points over and over. There's gotta be versatility for better gameplay and longer lifespan, yes? Well, to be quite blunt, Ezio will pull a Kratos and get lucky in-game.

Now that TGS is spewing all sorts of updates to keep the gaming world at the edge of its seats, Kratos invades Tokyo to show the Japanese how they do it in Sparta. While the Japanese are perfectly capable of the same brand of gore, they're not gonna say no to some eye-yanking, horn-snapping, head-ripping action courtesy of the Ghost of Sparta.

So the news is out. Sony will be releasing a special Blu-ray edition of God of War 1 and 2. Now that the gates have been pushed open by that berserk albino Kratos, will we be seeing more PS2 games released on Blu-ray in the future? Nothing is definite yet, but it seems that publishers are starting to think about getting on the PS2-to-Blu-ray wagon.

We knew there was something to that survey that Sony sent out back in April. Remember that time, they were asking whether or not you wanted God of War I & II in the God of War III Collector's Edition? Well, of course there was a reason they were very particular about the question. It's because they were seriously considering it, they just needed to be sure you wanted it as well.. And now, it's final and official.
