What about Sackboy? - Image 1LittleBigPlanet developer Media Molecule posted this job opening, indicating that they're in need of a gameplay programmer to work with their next project. For the rest of us who are no closer to qualifying for the post than a dried-up twig, our point of interest now turns to what the job is about - Media Molecule's new PS3 project.

ps - Image 1Following a lackluster update last week, this weeks Playstation Store Europe update is still kinda bland. Available starting today and will last for one week, Super Stardust HD gets a price reduction to celebrate the games second anniversary. A new downloadable puzzle game Zuma will also be available along with new add-on contents for LittleBigPlanet, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift and Rock Band Unplugged.

PS3 Weekend Warrior - Image 1The biggest PS3 news this week? The lack of a PS3 price cut announcement. We also didn't hear anything about the PS3 Slim. The software side of things fared a bit better, and ironically enough, the biggest news this week -- jump-wise -- was the arrival of a 12-year old game on the PSN and the impending PSN release of another title from 11 years back. You know what I'm talking about. Read on for the rest of the PS3 Weekend Warrior.

PlayStation Store update - Image 1With the midweek PlayStation Store update brought about by the Electronic Entertainment Expo, this week's regular Store update isn't as big as the others. Doesn't matter though, this new batch has game demos like the one for Fight Night Round 4 (Xbox 360 and PS3), plus new downloadable game releases. No Guitar Hero here this time, but there are some for Rock Band: Unplugged. Update list coming right up.

LittleBigPlanet - Image 1This Thursday, the law comes to LittleBigPlanet care of Senior Judge Joe Dredd, the iconic (and judgmental!) badass from the classic British sci-fi comic anthology, 2000 AD. Today, though, we get a sneak peek at two of the five costumes included in the new pack.

PS3 Weekend Warrior - Image 1I wouldn't want to get lost in Hideo Kojima's mind. Judging by the twists and turns he's constantly presenting in his games his mind must be some kind of labyrinthine maze where even a piece of string tied to the entrance won't help you find your way back. By my estimation, the Hideo Kojima tag is the one that's seen the most use on our PlayStation 3 blog this week, thanks to all the hubbub surrounding his next project. For more on this week's crop of PS3 news, read on for the latest edition of the PlayStation 3 Weekend Warrior. It's Hideo-rific!

LittleBigPlanet - Image 1Media Molecule co-founder Alex Evans has revealed a few of their plans for LittleBigPlanet, including a new web-based level-sharing portal and a beta test for upcoming features. And what's this? The PSP version of LBP is just "the first game"? More after the jump.
