Media Molecule has shot down the possibility of a sequel for LittleBigPlanet. In an interview with Critical Gamer, the devs shut the doors closed on an LBP 2, saying that a sequel would be "counterproductive." Instead of a part 2, Media Molecule will continue to focus on DLC and updates for the game. The 27th annual Golden Joysticks Awards were announced in London earlier today, giving props to the games that shaped the industry in the past year. Sitting on top of them is Fallout 3 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) receiving top honors as the Ultimate Game of the Year. Read up and find out who else made it big in the awards.

To celebrate the launch of PSP Go, SCEA has decided to update the PlayStation Store a day early. PSP Go owners as well as the die hard PSP gamers will surely have plenty of reasons to celebrate this week as Sony promises to release over a hundred new PSP games including the PSP minis, that is now available for download. But if you're a PS3 owner, don't worry, there are plenty of stuff waiting for you. 

Sony has handed out a few more details about their new motion controller, more specifically the titles that will be supporting it. There are a bunch of new games being made specifically for the motion controller, but existing titles will also be patched for support via updates. Trivia time! Did you know that LittleBigPlanet (PS3, PSP) was supposed to be under the name of "Craft World"? Yep, that's right. That was the working title of the now-famed world of the Sackfolks. Thanks to some office cleaning, Media Molecule unearthed a little piece of treasure reminding them of their first tiny steps into Sony's office to pitch the game.

This week's content includes a Crash Commando fill game price cut,  three new downloadable games featuring Smash Cars and Battle Tanks, playable demos of F.E.A.R. 2: Reborn and NHL 10 and more. Ah ModNation Racers, the upcoming user-generated content kart racing game from United Front Games. Recently, not much info has been revealed for the PS3 exclusive title that features the same "Play, Create, Share." genre as LittleBigPlanet, but today we got fresh new details to share coming from the games producer Dan Sochan.

Get your swimming gears ready! Media Molecule has just revealed that the next major game update for LittleBigPlanet will include water. Yes folks, you heard it right, water is coming to the LittleBigPlanet universe as part of a future downloadable content pack. Hit the link for a teaser vid.
