Despite the lackluster appeal of movie adaptations of video games, super Hollywood producer Jerry Bruckheimer remains positive that one day, they just might get it right. And it won't suck the living daylights out of us anymore.

Judging by the comments on that Metal Gear Solid movie post a while back, it seems a number of you guys like the thought of Christian bale playing Solid Snake. Got some bad news for you though (and good news for those who didn't want him in the movie): Bale says he hasn't been approached about the Metal Gear Solid movie.

Rock Band will soon come in a shade of Green. With a quick announcement, Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, Tre Cool, and the music of Green Day will be adding classic and new tracks into the Rock Band Music Store. More after the jump.

The new Country Track Pack for Rock Band hits retail next month, and so Harmonix and MTV Games have released a full list of the artists and tracks included in it. Some of the titles here have already been released on the Rock Band Music Store, but more than half of the 21 songs in the track pack are new. The list is available after the jump.

Hellboy was fun, and Pan's Labyrinth was nothing short of kickass. For these films, we have director Guillermo Del Toro to thank. That's why it's really heartwarming to know that he's one of us gamers as well. In an interview with MTV Movies, Del Toro gives us an insight on his gaming preferences. Among those in his list: Shadow of the Colossus and Flower. That's not all. Flower, he says, is "Like Haiku Poetry".

Harmonix and MTV Games has finally brought back The Beatles into the mainstream with The Beatles: Rock Band (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii), the Rock Band game starring the most successful band of all time. Catch George, Ringo, Paul, and John as they make some beautiful music together in their E3 debut.

This week's PSN video content update it a little short, and most of the titles on the list may not be worth the click on the download button. But for those who may be interested, the finale for Heroes season 3 is now available. If you've had it with Heroes, then maybe you can just go for old movies, like the Problem Child, or the 1996 thrill-seeker, The Fan. Complete list in the full article.

While it's not the biggest video content update on PSN, this batch may have a few stuff that might actually get you to download something. For starters, you can watch the boys of B2K heat up the floor with their moves and drama in "You Got Served." On a less-serious side, Eddy Murphy's cracking it up again with the little guys of "Daddy Day Care." But if you want something that you've seen as a pre-teen, there's the old and dusty "Fright Night" for your mild scare needs.

With the June 26 launch of the second Transformers movie looming closer day by day, attention turns to the accompanying video game, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PSP, DS, PS2, PC), from Activision, which opened a demo in NYC last week. Now we've got word that the publisher is planning to offer more characters for the game as DLC.

The list's a little short this week, but that doesn't mean the content will fall short of expectations. While it's no A-List bunch either, there's a few in there that you might find interesting. "Finding Neverland"? Creepy radios in "White Noise"? Or how about the all-star cast of "A League of Their Own"?
