There were already a few signs hinting that Atari was having some trouble holding on to the Dragon Ball franchise. A couple of years ago, the publisher clashed with FUNimation over the game license. Namco Bandai announced last month that it had secured publishing rights to three new entries in the franchise. Today, Namco Bandai has announced that it's finishing what it started.

Europe will be getting two official limited editions of Namco Bandai's Tekken 6 (PlayStation 3,Xbox 360) thanks to the Japan development team. The said limited editions will be the Arcade Stick Edition and the Collectors Edition; these would be offered on top of the standalone game of Tekken 6 expected to come out to Europe this Autumn of 2009 for both the PS3 and the Xbox 360. "Outdated" would be how the director of the famed classic, Tekken, would describe the feature of unlockable characters in fighting games. Said Katsuhiro Harada, online play makes this "no longer useful."

Namco Bandai has crammed in a lot of extra content for the console versions of Tekken 6, among them some extra costumes. We've already seen Penny Arcade's Cardboard Tube Samurai costume for Yoshimitsu, so now let's take a look at the one that Japanese manga group Clamp designed for Jin. Kazuhito Udetsu, producer for Namco Bandai Games, took the time to introduce Yuu Miyake, the sound director for Katamari Forever, on the PS Blog. In their tow is the music for the latest Katamari game on the PS3, and they sure have a lot -- good ones, too. Welcome to Tekken day. Yep, it's turned into that. Wow. Lots of updates from Namco Bandai today. This one's not Tekken-related though. For now we turn to another mainstay in the company's portfolio -- the Tales franchise, specifically the PS3 version of Tales of Vesperia and the PSP title Tales of VS.

After the earlier helping of Tekken 6 screenshots, here's some more good news from Namco Bandai. They've finally given out official release dates for the game's PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions along with details on some pre-order goodies.

Namco Bandai has released some new Tekken 6 screenshots featuring five of the fighters in the sixth King of Iron Fist Tournament: Alisa Bosconovich, Eddy Gordo, Lars Alexandersson, Marshall Law, and my personal favorite, Yoshimitsu. Check 'em out after the jump.

What do you do with the cardboard tubes when all the toilet paper's gone? You put 'em all together and slap Tekken lords with 'em! Rumors sparked earlier when the TekkenBob Twitter page upped a picture of the Penny Arcade fan favorite, Cardboard Tube Samurai, making an appearance in Tekken 6. Now, in yet another Twitter Page, we got confirmation from Penny Arcade artist Mike "Gabe" Krahulik that it's for real. More after the jump.
