For all it's million selling feats though, it couldn't improve the sales of either Microsoft or Sony's next generation consoles. January and February were Sony months so to speak, as the PlayStation 3 outsold the Xbox 360 for both periods. The record was broken when the March sales figures were published by the NPD, but industry analyst Michael Pachter believes that the PS3 will prove to shine once again in April.
