The Playstation Store update for Europe is now available. This week, you have three excellent PSN games that includes the PS3 exclusive Punisher: No Mercy, an old school classic James Pond: Robocod, the massive PSP hit game Monster Hunter Freedom Unite plus four other PSP games, new add-on contents for MotorStorm: Pacific Rift, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, LittleBigPlanet  and more.

"When a developer succeeds in making an acclaimed title," writes PSN executive producer Kevin Funichi, " the pressure is on to repeat that success. But making sequels isn’t easy. Change too much, and you risk alienating fans of the original title. Change too little, and you’ll be criticized by gamers who want something new." That is just one among the many issues that the devs had to address, so you bet the next Qore episode would be one to watch.

Heads up, skate fans. The largest-pursed event in the history of pro skating is coming soon to Skate 2 (Xbox 360, PS3) as downloadable content. Adding online and offline gameplay modes to the game, the Maloof Money Cup DLC is gonna bring the high-profile competition straight to your consoles.

Capcom is showering more love onto Sony's PlayStation consoles. Well, the PS3 and PSP anyway. They've announced that they'll be rolling out more downloadable classics on the PlayStation Store over the next few months.

Following yesterday's report that a Sony patent was spotted, pointing to a purely software-based solution to the PS2 emulation issue, TheSixthAxis reports that the PS2 emulation issue isn't due to the Emotion Engine, which is already up and running. The problem lies with the Graphics Synthesizer, which now appears to be an obstacle to downloadable PS2 games on the PlayStation Store.

Konami has kept pretty quiet about Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment ever since it was announced back in April. That changes today as Konami has released new screenshots and a features list for the upcoming tactical RPG.

Red Faction: Guerrilla (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC) players will be getting more chances to take their sledgehammers to Martian structures and inhabitants thanks to some upcoming DLC announced by THQ. Details after the jump.

So Marvel vs Capcom 2's release date got moved. While that news sucks for those eagerly rubbing their hands in anticipation for this online fighter, it does give Capcom more time to create some extra hype. Case in point: they've recently released three new videos, all of which can be viewed after the jump.

Games once again took center stage in the PS3 blog this week, and not just the retail titles too. PSN downloadables also took their time in the spotlight, especially Final Fantasy VII, which proved extremely bankable even after more than a decade. Following a lackluster update last week, this weeks Playstation Store Europe update is still kinda bland. Available starting today and will last for one week, Super Stardust HD gets a price reduction to celebrate the games second anniversary. A new downloadable puzzle game Zuma will also be available along with new add-on contents for LittleBigPlanet, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift and Rock Band Unplugged.
