Qore - Image 1"When a developer succeeds in making an acclaimed title," writes PSN executive producer Kevin Funichi, " the pressure is on to repeat that success. But making sequels isn’t easy. Change too much, and you risk alienating fans of the original title. Change too little, and you’ll be criticized by gamers who want something new." That is just one among the many issues that the devs had to address, so you bet the next Qore episode would be one to watch.

PlayStation Store - Image 1Mark this day, folks, because this is the day Metal Gear Solid officially sets its virtual foot onto the PSOne Classics service. At US$ 10, it's a steal if you just wanna play it. I've seen brand new boxed copies of this game being sold for almost US$ 200. No kidding. Also included in this update are a bunch of new Rock Band and Guitar Hero World Tour tracks. I have a softer spot for the former's picks, though, since it includes Spinal Tap songs. Gotta watch that movie again. It never gets old. Crank that dial up to 11 and check out the full list of new Store items after the jump.

Western game devs also jumped into the fray with details from the Sony exclusives inFamous, God of War 3, and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. They even managed to sneak in a little Sly Cooper teaser in the inFamous demo. With E3 less than a month away, we also saw publishers starting to hype up their offerings for the yearly gaming expo. All that and more in this week's PS3 Weekend Warrior.

PS Store - Image 1From teeny-weeny cyclopic warriors to lean, mean clawing machine, there's a lot of goods for you to choose from over at the PlayStation Store. We've got the update for you here right, and off the bat, I think I'd go for the free demo of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, just in case you haven't checked it out yet.
